about 2 months and haven't not had any problems. Today the server hung accessing the NSS volumes. So I did an init 6 to reboot the server. After the server came up I ran http://www.theusenetarchive.com/usenet-message-nss-volumes-not-able-to-mount-45506113.htm ndsrepair -T and ndsrepair -R. Everything is fine with NDS. I still could not get the https://forums.netiq.com/archive/index.php/t-38546.html the volumes. So I ran nssmu on the server and got the following error: NSS Management Utility - ERROR Either the Admin Volume was not found or you don't have rights to access it. If I run NSS /pools I get error opening NSS management file (no such file or directory) on server at /sbin/nss line 43 It appears that some error opening is messed up. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks is NSS runnign? rcnovell-nss status CU, -- Massimo Rosen Novell Knowledge Partner No emails please! http://www.cfc-it.de 2012-02-29 23:56 Running the above command displayed a status of unused. I then ran rcnovell-nss start and the nss volumes loaded. The question is why did it not load when the server was restarted. a problem that I've seen on the forum before but noone seems to have come up with an accepted solution yet. Or well, not one that has been posted and solves our problem! When trying to administer the cluster services within iManager 2.7.x (either a workstation or server installation) we receive a: error: clustering error file protocol error occurred: cannot open the ncs version file on the selected cluster. the cluster software may not currently be running on this server. It looks to be failing to read the NCS.xml file within the /admin/Novell/Cluster/ directory on a cluster member server.
