Error Opening Pcm Device Iec958
2013-09-19 Posts: 9 [SOLVED]Sound not working Alright so I came here with the same problem awhile ago and then someone told me to install pulseuaudio. So I did that and it worked but after awhile it just simply stopped working. After doing $ pulseaudio --start it usually worked fine but now no audio plays in vlc or moc. I went in alsamixer and made sure it wasn't muted or somethingbut it doesn't look like that to me. I then tried installing the gui frontend and I got this: $ qpaeq There was an error connecting to pulseaudio, please make sure you have the pulseaudio dbus module loaded, exiting...I don't know what else I need to put but hopefully someone will help me out. I watch alot of videos on this machine so i'd be nice to have audio. Thanks!
