only takes a few minutes. Join Now I have a user who was unable to print a PDF this afternoon, I tried a https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/140950-printer-error-cannot-print-test-page-error-0x00000077-before-that-0x00000006 couple work arounds, thinking it was a pdf or Adobe issue. I then tried to print a test print on the printer when he also experienced an issue printing from another application. I received an error message that said the Test page could not be printed and the error code was (0x00000006). I then removed the printer and re-added and error printing received the same issue, I then removed it and deleted associated driver files from \windows\system32\spool\drivers\3\ then I re-added the printer. It took a little longer than before, encouraging, then I went to print a test page and was told I needed to install the driver, I did so, and now I get the error code (0x00000077) which I can find diddly error printing windows on. Any ideas guys? If this is an XP or earlier OS, please provide more system information. :) 0 Datil OP Helpful Post afeitguy May 24, 2011 at 5:16 UTC There seems to be some promising approaches to a solution here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itprovistaprinting/thread/8eae0318-efc4-4087-91f9-3c27ad2ea4d6/ Work-around solution found on another forum: Control panel then Settings then Add Printer Choose "Add a local printer". Click on "Create a new port". Use Local Port. Next dialogue box is "Enter a Port Name." Type in the path to the printer: \\(computer name)\(printer name). This worked for me after MANY, MANY hours of trying to do it by the "book" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After
