So far I've triedsyncronize forms and reports in GP Utilities and set Synchronize=TRUE in dex.ini but neither have yielded any results. I tried to recreate the reports.dic by exporting and then importing the modified reports, however when exporting I'm getting this error for 6 of my reports: 'Key: Unable to set property Table to GL_Account_MSTR.' I'm not sure if this means if the reports were exported or not. installed the workstation, you launch it and are greeted with this: What to do? You'll be delighted to know that this is an easy fix. The problem comes up when folks copy the Dynamics.set http://dynamicsconfessions.blogspot.com/2012/09/when-things-go-wrong-error-registering.html file to one worksation from another before they synchronize the existingDynamics.dic to the http://evarsys.com/dynamicsgp/?p=253 systems account framework. All you need to do is change the the dex.ini file so that the following entry exists: Synchronize=TRUE Most likely, yours says FALSE You need to make sure you only have one of these entries in your Dex.ini file. If you have more than one, the first one rules. After you change error registering the Dex.ini setting ( in the Data folder of your application folder), you'll need to launch Dynamics Utilities in order to complete the synchronization process. Once the synchronization process is complete, the error should go away and Dynamics GP should launch. Don't ya' love all of the 'should's' in that dialog? Until next post! Leslie Thanks to David Musgrave's keen eye I changed this post to the correct setting. error registering table I had it backward originally. Unforgivable for the dex.ini queen. Hi LeslieYou need to change the Dex.ini setting toSynchronize=TRUEThis will force the Utilities to run and match the Account Framework in the Dynamics.dic dictionary to the settings in the tables.Note: If the settings in the table have been altered and are different from the actual account framework in the GL_Account_MSTR (GL00100) table, you will still have issues.Davidhttp://blogs.msdn.com/DevelopingForDynamicsGP/ September 17, 2012 at 8:34 PM Post a Comment Newer Post Older Post Home Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom) Search This Blog Loading... About Post navigation ← Previous Next → Key segment not found and unable to register table GL_Acct_Mstr Posted on April 14, 2011 by David Hobbs This error was encountered after printing a batch of AP checks and during the post operation. The checks printed fine. However the posting report was lost. GL seems to have been updated correctly. I've written extensively about the problems with reports dictionaries. It is one of the weak links in GP. Anyone who tells you to have one shared reports dictionary is not doing you any favors. Therefore, have multiple copies and backups of your reports dictionaries. First, delete or rename the reports dictionary. Launch GP, then import your package file to recreate the reports dictionary. See post http://evarsys.com/dynamicsgp/?p=253 Second, rebuild the GL account index file. Below are the complete steps taken from the MS Techknowledge article 855963. As always make sure to backup your company database in Enterprise Manager or SQL Management Studio. 1. Have all users exit Microsoft Dynamics GP. 2. Delete the contents of the Account Index Master table. a. Start the Support Administrator Console, Microsoft SQL Query Analyzer, or SQL Server Management Studio.
