Compare the command lines used in each log file and see where each is trying to connect to download the installation files. Why have you used psexec? How many clients did you try to install at the same time?Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de Monday, May 21, 2012 2:09 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Hi Torsten, I did use psexec to quicken the process of client push, though automated client push installation also is in place. At one shot,i tried installing 20 clients out of which only 2 succeeded and the rest threw this error. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 6:35 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Actually i did use the GUI for PSexec (called EZ-execute) and running the application 'ccmsetup.exe' and there are no parameters specified. The account that i use has the local admin rights on the targeted computers. The first installation attempt returns me the erro: "GetDPLocations failed with error 0x80072efd. . . Location request failed with error 0x80072efd, status code 200. MP could be busy at this moment" And the subsequent retries (every ten minutes) returns the error "Failed

PH25 Member I have set up a fresh instance of SCCM for the first time. Everything looks in order, just the one boundary (AD site) and boundary group. Client https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f80c5aa1-7bd7-434b-872d-fbac4ee1dc49/configmgr-2012-manual-client-installation-fails?forum=configmanagerdeployment deploy but only shows 2 tasks (machine cycle and user cycle) and doesn't talk back to SCCM, therefore shows as clients 'none' in the console. I can see the following errors: failed to send management point list location request failed to send registration request 0x87d00231 GetDPLocations failed with error 0x80072efe Failed to get DP locations as the expected versions from http://prajwaldesai.com/community/threads/getdplocations-failed-with-error-0x80072efe.191/ MP 'ServerName' error 0x80072efe I've been looking into this for some time to no avail. Help would be massively appreciated. Could you check Client computer communication settings in ConfigMgr 2012 Administration > Site Configuration > Site properties ? Post the screenshot here. If you have tried all the steps, you could try reinstalling the MP once. Prajwal Desai, Jul 27, 2015 #2 PH25 Member Thanks for your reply. I have already reinstalled the MP, to no avail. I come before you to ask for assistance once again. I have hit a bit of a failed with wall with Client Push...and cant seem to find any answers here or on Google. It is entirely possible its going to be a tick box or something really stupid that i have missed but i need fresh eyes. Basically everything is working 100% except client push. so here goes. When starting the client install from the console (Right click -> Install Client) the ccmsetup.exe runs on the client failed with error but never actually finishes. The ccmsetup.log file on the client shows 2 yellow errors at different times. 1. MP 'server.domain' didn't return DP locations for client package with the expected version. Retrying in 30 minutes. 2. Failed to get DP locations as the expected version from MP Server.Domain'. Error 0x0 (i can post full logs If required) Could anyone please shed any light on this? I think ive been trying to find a problem too long... If you would like more details please ask. Thank you all in advance. SysAdam. the client on any of my lap machines. My lab is set up with 3 servers, 1 DC, 1 CM server and an SQL Server. Some win 7 and win xp clients. The client isntalled successfully on one of the clients, but not on anything else. It shows that it is installed on the servers but the client is "corrupt" and not functioning. From the log this looks to be the problem but I cannot figure out why. I can ping everything, DNS is functioning. Boundaries and groups are set up. I can post the entire file if needed.
