The machine had a problem during the warm up cycle and the fuser, HP LASERJET CP3525, 110V FUSER KIT CE484A . didn't get to the correct operating temperature in the allowed amount of time. In this fuser error article I'd like to discuss a few of the basic troubleshooting steps and provide a brief summary of what the HP service manual has to say about the subject. 1. Turn the printer off then back on. Doing this allows a preheated fuser a few additional seconds to get up to operating temperature. Sometimes you might see this error in a sudden power outage where the fuser temp gets checked at the 50.2 fuser error wrong time.2. Check your power source. Make sure other large heating devices like a copier, space heater, or coffee makers are not plugged into the same circuit. Also make sure it's plugged straight into a wall outlet and not a power strip or battery backup with other devices. The key here is that other devices draw power on the same circuit. Most devices don't have temperature sensors in them like your machine. So if they are struggling they will not warn you. However, because the printer needs to be operating at a certain temperature for correct printing it will throw an error code if those conditions are not met. 3. Reseat the fuser and follow the service manual instructions listed below.HP Service Manual Tips For Troubleshooting the 50.2 Fuser Error[one_third]50.2 FUSER ERROR[/one_third][one_third]The fuser has experienced a warm-up error.[/one_third][one_third_last]1. Reinstall the fuser. Check the connector (J50) between the fuser and the product. Replace the cable or fuser if the connector is damaged. 2. Reconnect the connectors (J138, J115) of the DC controller PCAË™. Reconnect connector (J60), on the power line between the low voltage power supply and the fuser. 3. If the problem persists, replace the fuser. , HP LASERJET CP3525, 110V FUSER KIT CE484A . [/one_third_last] I hope the information provided has hel
fine up till about 3 days ago.Users started reporting a 50.2 error on the LCD, turning off the printer and then turning it back on fixed it for a day. Now it's constantly showing the 50.2 error.I've changed out the fuser for a brand new one (I've also verified it's the correct fuser RM1-1043), still no luck.So then we checked the wall outlet, it's a dedicated 15amp line (as in you turn the breaker off and only that outlet goes off).I've even changed out the power cord. This printer is driving me insane!Any idea's? Respond to this 0 The next item would be the dc controller. Since the error is a low fuser temp, you could try to jack up the fuser temp from normal to high 1 for all types of paper and see if maybe it will stay hot enough. Just run a menu map for the location where you can make the change. by dmzcompute on Nov 9, 2007 at 4:26pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 For future readers of this thread:Go to your 4345mfp's IP via your favorite web browser and click Log In (enter your admin name and password).Go to the Settings tab and expand Configure Device, expand Print Quality, expand Fuser ModesI tried the above and set High1 for all paper types, I'm still getting the 50.2 Fuser error, and when I pulled the fuser from the unit it's completely cold to the touch.I'm going to order another Fuser on the chance we just got a bad fuser, since the printer has never given us problems like this before. I'm hoping it's just a manufacturing defect on the "new" fuser I ordered from before. I'll post results in a couple days when the new fuser unit (#3) arrives. by rottielover on Nov 12, 2007 at 9:52am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 It's very unlikely to get two DOA's doing the same thing, but possible. Dmzcompute gave you good advice on what needs to be replaced next. Check to make sure there is nothing wrong with the connector; possibly damaged? I never just keep ordering
