to this 0 Did you change the toner.? try that.. Maybe a cold reset too.. had that on 50.1 fuser error hp 8150dn a 4500 the other day and it fixed it.Jeff by Headspin on Feb 15, 2006 at 9:34am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Did you fuser error 50.1 hp laserjet 4700dn get the error code 50 before the maint kit? Also what is the exact error. It should be 50.1, 50.2, 50.3 or 50.4. by dmzcompute on Feb 15, 2006 at 10:50am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 yes It did not show up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pta0UZoKzQY I had to check the error logs but it's the same pre fuser and post fuser. here it is "50 50.01.00 003500" Thanks for yor reply. by Anonymous on Feb 15, 2006 at 10:55am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 OK that the same as a 50.1. Now with that error you should not get anything to print or move in the printer. The printer shuts down with a fuser error. If you replaced the fuser, the manual says next would be the dc controller, but my http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/36195 experience has been the issue is the low voltage power supply. Common issue on the 8000 and 8100 series. Only thing to make sure is the printer is plugged into a dedicated outlet with at least 15 amps of power. If other items are on the same circut when they draw power, it could reduce the power available to the 5SI and cause a 50.1 error. My bet is on the low voltage ps. by dmzcompute on Feb 15, 2006 at 11:01am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Blank pages could come from laser scanner shutter being stuck. 50 error would be either a bad fuser or dc controller. by Anonymous on Feb 15, 2006 at 11:09am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Nah, It's on a Grounded dedicated line. It just started printing blank pages on Monday. We use it for printing our Checks and it has a special driver or I would just trash it.I have already shelled out $300 for a Maint. kit. any Ideawhat a Low voltage power supply would go for? I have alreadycome across this as being the problem and it sounds about right.Everything else works it just produces blank pages. by Anonymous on Feb 15, 2006 at 11:10am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 You are confusing me with the blank pages. If you get a 50.1 error then it should not put out any paper as the printer will shut down. Give us the sequence of events from the time the printer is turned on and if no error is present, when

Just a small way of paying back all the good this site has http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/12389 done for me. by Andy Z on Sep 22, 2006 at 5:16am Add comment Please sign in http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/20091 to comment 1 I've got the same problem. The thig was that a thermal sensor on the top of the upper roller was bad, so there was no signal from it and the fuser lamps wont heat up. You may test it. by Andy on Sep 11, 2003 at 11:59pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 I would like to thank EVERYONE on here who posted fuser error suggestions, diagrams, and information in general. Sure enough, got my 8150n apart, removed the LVPS, examined, and Q600 center pin was without solder. $15 bucks (including the soldering iron) and about an hour and were back up and running. You guys are amazing, I never would have gotten this one on my own. Thanks alot. If I can ever repay any of you with network engineering assistance feel free to email me. by unknown on Apr 24, 2006 at 3:49pm Add comment Please sign in to 50.1 fuser error comment 1 You can use a paper clip to keep the shutter open. The only thing about using a paper clip, the top cover is not engaing the shutter anymore. If I can't fix something onsite, a paper clip will normally do the trick in certain circumstances. This will get things going again until I get a part. by msr976 on Nov 15, 2006 at 6:42am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 replace the fuser, its not the power supply. by unknown on Sep 5, 2003 at 6:38pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 There is nothing wrong with the fuser unit. The problem is from the powersupply.-- Dc woltage to LCD panel - ok-- Fuser lamp can't heated upCan anyone help which components failed? by unknown on Sep 8, 2003 at 7:03pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 There is no problem with the whole fuser unit assembly.I found the problem -- Powersupply unit Q200 fail -- 2sk2371 & resistor at this FET -- 12 ohms by unknown on Sep 12, 2003 at 12:14am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Gerald,Was this part on the LVPS.Was the FET and the resistorboth bad.Did you replace theseparts and did it work. And finallydid you have any problem findingthe FET.Pete by petillo on Apr 4, 2005 at 12:15pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 50.1 is a common error, majority of the time the fuser is not bad. I solved this problem numerous times by replacing the entire LVPS. by un
ok. All gears are rotating free. When powering up the printer i can hear 2 clicks. There is no motor movement at all. Most likely a problem in the lower voltage power supply or driver circuitry ? Any suggestions would be welcome. Regards, Alex Respond to this 0 59.X PRINTER ERROR A main motor error occurred. X description: 0 = Motor error 1 = Motor startup error 2 = Motor rotation error 1. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. 2. Check and reseat the fuser and toner cartridge to make sure they are not hindering gear movement in the drive train. 3. Check the main motor’s cable to ensure that it is seated properly. 4. If the error persists, replace the main motor. by unknown on Jun 23, 2004 at 4:43am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I have checked out the power supply whichs seems ok but i have noticed the 24V DC power supply on the main motor was missing. Power is going in on the DC controller but only 0.6V DC is going to the main motor. Because i don't have the schematics i have made a bridge with a fuse resistor to the main motor and everything is working fine. A simple solution to this problem. However i don't know if this 24V DC power is continuously available in standby mode. Sofar it looks good. A few hours in test will tell if it's ok. Thanks for the info. by unknown on Jun 23, 2004 at 5:05am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I thought I would post this because I have just been through this and if someone had posted it on the web it would have saved a lot of trouble.I changed the main motor, dc controller, psu and the cable between the motor and the dc controller and did not fix it.The 24V is routed off the DC controller through 2 contacts on the cover open switch. This is located on the sensor board (RG5-1846) hidden under the plastic bits hidden behind the dc controller. This is a safety feature, to cut out the motors when the doors are opened. If the switch is faulty, then you get this error. It also applies to the 5si, 8000 and 8100 printers. by hdc090360 on Mar 21, 2007 at 11:11pm Add comment Please sign in to comment If that switch was faulty, wouldn't you get one of those "close the printer cover" errors? I ask because I am now having this problem with an 8150 that I recently repaired. Origionally we were getting the infamous "50.1 fuser error." It turned out to be a LVPS problem and thanks to this forum, I was able to re-solder some weak joins on the LVPS and get past that error. I did several (100+ pages) test prints from all trays and the thing was working well, so we redeployed it back upstairs. A week late
