Fuser Error 50.3
be remedied by removing the toner cartridge and pulling the paper out through there. Am I getting the error because of the paper jam? If so, how do I stop getting paper jams? I've installed a maintenance repair kit but it doesn't seem to help with the jams. Does that spray stuff sold on this website help? We have a repair guy who sprays our rollers with something that usually seems to do the trick (for a while anyway) but I don't want to pay him http://printerrepairsupport.com/50-3-fuser-error-hp-4240-4250-4350/ all the time to come out and spray our rollers! Please HELP! Respond to this 1 If you want to save a few bucks, I can supply you with just the heater portion of the fuser and an instructional video to replace it. It's real easy and you probably don't even need the video. The heater is what fails and gives the error, so you don't have http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/45950 to replace the whole expensive fuser or maintenance kit. Are you no longer selling??? - greybeards 0 50.3 has nothing top do with jams.DO not use "spray stuff" on the rollers. For black rubber rollers use:http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/specials/misc/chemicals/S03For gray rubber rollers take the roller out of the machine and wash it with soap and water, (whatever you use on your hands or dishes). The jam error code would help, jam codes always start with 13.Did the 50.3 error start before or after you installed the maintenance kit?Seems like you might need a different repair guy. by Stephen on Mar 14, 2007 at 6:35am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks for the information. The fuser error started about 3 months after I installed the kit. by aeon33 on Mar 14, 2007 at 12:26pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Then the fuser you installed failed. Was the kit bought from HP, or was it a

While this error does not occur very often in these models there are a few things you can try before making the choice to replace the fuser. In this article I will explain why the error is displayed on the control panel and a few steps you can take to try to resolve the error. What Causes the 50.3 Fuser Error in the HP Laserjet P3015 Series Printer and How to FixInside the fusing assembly are thermistors that measure the amount of heat inside the unit. In this case Thermistor 1 is measuring a high temperature state. The first thing to try is just to turn the machine off and let it sit 15 to 30 minutes. This allows the fusing unit to cool down. Other things that can cause the 50.3 fuser error are sitting the fuser temperature to High 2 and letting it run for a long period of time. Also running large volumes of heavy card stock paper can result in the same problem. Finally pay attention to your environment. These machines have operating temperature guide lines. Putting these machines in direct sun light or in the middle of a factory floor on a hot summer day can result in over heating issues. Like wise the machine needs proper ventilation. You should allow several inches on all sides of the unit so the exhaust fans inside can properly disperse the heat generated inside. Last thing to try if all else fails is to turn the machine off, unplug it and let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes then plug back in and try again. Below is what the service manual says so if everything fails then unfortunately the fuser will need to be replaced. HP P3015 NEW OEM Fusing Assembly - RM1-6274What the Service Manual has to say about the 50.3 Fuser Error1. Power cycle the product to determine if the error is persistent. 2.
