As the machine warms up the thermistors are reading the temperature inside the fuser. After a set amount of time if the thermistors still don't read the correct operating temperature then the machine errors out and waits for user intervention to prevent further damage. Battery backups are a huge no no as the printers draw to much power from the back up resulting in shorter battery life and possible damage to the power supply inside the printer. Power strips are bad because of the fact that having too many devices on the same circuit can draw down the amps and voltage on the line resulting in low temperature states in the fuser because not enough power is being supplied to the unit. Third thing to try is to turn the machine off and unplug it from the wall. Waiting 30 minutes then plug back in and power up. This allows the capacitors on the boards to fully discharge which can clear out any error messages stuck in the memory. Also it allows the fuser and other components to cool down so when the machine restarts it has a better chance of getting to the correct operating temperature. The fourth and fin
