5-10 minutes and it printed for a while, then gave him the error again. I know some sites say leave it off for about 20 minutes, so I told him to leave it off for a half hour to let the fuser cool down. Otherwise I may just have to replace it? by mharris on Jul 11, 2005 at 3:27pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Then it could be an intermittent power supply. It's even possible the solder joints at 50.0 fuser error hp laserjet p1108 the fuser power connector on the power supply are cracked. If the 50 error goes away the machine was turned off long enough. On some of the older LaserJet's the 50 error will not clear on a short power off, for example if it was a LaserJet Series II and you only powered it off for 10 minutes, then when you turned it on the error would still be there, and you'd have to then turn it off for 20 more minutes. by Stephen on Jul 11, 2005 at 3:39pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 So if the prob. doesn't go away possibly check the power supply huh? by mharris on Jul 11, 2005 at 3:56pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 If it says "IN CHAT" next to my name I'm in the FYOP chat room.http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/chatEasiest thing is to try another fuser, do you know anybody who has a 45XX printer where you could test yours, or borrow theirs? The fuser doesn't have to be in very good shape, most 45XX fusers fail with bad rollers. by Stephen on Jul 11, 2005 at 4:03pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 High voltage power supply has nothing to do with a fuser error. I wish people who post would have correct info and not cause people to replace unessary parts. A tip that the poster knows nothing is he did not put in his name. by dmzcompute on Nov 3, 2005 at

Sometimes the error will temporarily go away with a reboot so you can print a few more pages, but usually the error reappears. If you recently moved the printer around or if you recently installed a new fuser, particularly on HP LaserJet 4000, 4050, 4100, 4200, or 4300 series printers, you should check to see if two tabs on the fuser have come loose. (They can get dislodged during shipping, heavy movement, or during fuser installation.) See more info below on these tabs. If you have NOT recently replaced the fuser or heavily jostled the printer around, then the 50.2 Fuser error indicates you may have an actual fuser failure and the fuser needs replacing. Fusers are a consumable part and they are the main component in a printer maintenance kit; it is expected over the life of the printer you will replace the fuser / maintenance kit several times. Click here to see our list of available maintenance kits for each model printer. Most fuser models can be installed by an end user, without needing a service technician. We have installation instructions under the Tech Support section of our Web site. Call us with any questions @ 608-831-2396 or toll-free 866-352-7108. In case you have moved the printer around recently or if you installed a replacement fuser recently -- Here are instructions for checking those fuser tabs on your LaserJet 4000, 4100, 4200, 4300, 4250, 4350 series fuser: Turn your printer off and remove your fuser. Flip it to the gear side (the left side) and press inwards on the fuser tab to make sure it is fully clicked in place, as shown below. Then flip the fuser over to the right side (the non-gear side) and press in on the other fuser tab to make sure it is also fully clicked in place. (right side of a La
