When you turn on the printer during warmup the fuser should turn which in turn turns the little roller in the outup tray. You need to see if those rollers turn with either the old or new fuser. One thing you can do is remove the fuser and try to turn the gears on it by hand. I took out the fuser to investigate these GEARS. So I know NOTHING about printers... The gears on both the "supposed bad fuser" and the new fuser both spin.
