Left Door. This is when it's initialising - not when I try and print something. There is no paper

stuck anywhere in that area. I've taken the duplex unit out and tried again 50.9 fuser error but it makes no difference. I've taken the fuser out but can't see any problems. The little arm which senses the paper on the fuser unit moves freely and I can see the little flag on the left movin in and out of the sensor as I lift the arm up and down. Tried https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pta0UZoKzQY cleaning the sensor with a cotton bud when I had the fuser out. I've checked under the toner, had both paper trays out but can't see anything. I'm stumped. Can anyone offer any suggestions please?ThanksJohn Respond to this 0 The one place you have not checked is the facedown exit assembly. I am not sure if this work on the 8000 but worth a try. With the http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/45788 power off take a sheet of letter paper and open the door below the manual feeder on the rigt side and put the paper in the path and close the door. Now turn on the printer. I know on the 8100 series it will after warmup give the message checking paper path and will take that sheet and feed it through the path to the facedown exit assembly and it the sensor flag is stuck in the facedown asembly or a piece of paper there it will sometimes clear it. If that does not happen, you need to remove the top cover and check the sensor flag towards the back on the left side. It sometimes pops out of it holder and sticks in the up position indicating paper still present when none is there. Just press it back down into the hold and it should be good to go. by dmzcompute on Mar 8, 2007 at 4:42pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks for your reply. I tried inserting a sheet of paper in the paper path as you suggested but then when I turn on I just get the error message 13.20 Paper Jam Check Righ
the power, it would work for a little while, but eventually come up with the error again. I searched HP's site and came up http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/9419 with nothing. We had a tech come out for on-site service. He couldn't figure it out either. I started screwing around with it, and eventually found that if I took out the duplexer, the printer no longer came up with the error. I thought it might be the duplexer so I tried a different one, but the error started coming up again, indicating that it must fuser error be the printer that is the issue. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this or any other tricks I can try? If you need more info, let me know Respond to this 0 A combination of certain fusers and duplex units have been known to cause this problem. It is not specifically related to particular part numbers of fusers or duplex units.Replace 50.1 fuser error the fuser or duplex unit with another to alleviate the 55 error. by unknown on Apr 9, 2003 at 2:35am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 It's probably the fuser.Has the fuser been used for more than the recommended number of pages? (350,000) by Stephen on Apr 9, 2003 at 2:23pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Actually the fuser was replaced before we called for onsite service. It doesn't look like the page count since last maintenance was reset though. It's at about 3,000,000! Even though the fuser is new, could the printer thinking it isn't cause this error? by unknown on Apr 10, 2003 at 11:27am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 55 error is the dc control board. nothing to do with a fuser error. by chris on Apr 10, 2003 at 1:57pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Sorry to burst all of your bubbles - but even HP doesn't know what the cause is.
