DC control board, Ac Power supply, Fuser Cable and then I replaced the fuser again (to be sure). I am stuck and have had this printer for repair going on a month. Any suggestions? Please! Respond to this 1 LVPS. It is a very common problem with the LJ 50.1 fuser error hp 9040 8150. That is why the LVPS' are in short supply by unknown on Oct 29, 2004 at 5:40pm 50.1 fuser error hp 5100 Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 I have swapped the formatter board, LVPS, and fuser with know working parts and this error still will not go rg5-4357 away. I have succesfully gotten rid of the error on a handful of other 8150's in the past by swaping the LVPS but not this time. Any other suggestions beyond these? by unknown on Dec 5, 2006 at 6:19am Add comment Please sign in to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pta0UZoKzQY comment 0 You need to check the voltage coming out of the socket the printer is hooked up to. You have replaced everything that would give you the error. The two time I had the error and new fuser did not work it was the ac power unit which fixed it. Are you sure you go a good ac power unit? Nothing else to offer. by dmzcompute on Sep 1, 2004 at 1:42pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I have same problem with my LaserJet 8150, I changed the http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/22162 Fuser it did't fix the problem. I took the old fuser to another LaserJet 8150, and it is working fine. I am not sure is ac power unit has problem or not. Did you changed the power unit? They tell you to check the cable going from the ac power supply to the fuser, but it is never the cable. by dmzcompute on Oct 29, 2004 at 12:10pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Hi Dewaine, Welcome back to the board. We've missed you. Did you get tired of the HP forum or did they ask you to leave too. They don't appreciate talent over there. by moe on Oct 29, 2004 at 5:59pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Did you swap all of these parts at the same time? You did not mention if you swapped all of them at the same time or just one at a time. Could be possible the fuser and LVPS has gone bad at the same time. Try sw

The thig was that a thermal sensor on the top of the upper roller was bad, so there was no signal from it and the fuser lamps wont heat up. You may test it. by Andy on Sep 11, 2003 fuser error at 11:59pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 I would like to thank EVERYONE on here who posted suggestions, diagrams, and information in general. Sure enough, got my 8150n apart, removed the LVPS, examined, and Q600 center pin was without solder. $15 bucks (including the soldering iron) and about an hour and were back up and running. You guys are amazing, I never would have gotten this one on my own. Thanks alot. 50.1 fuser error If I can ever repay any of you with network engineering assistance feel free to email me. by unknown on Apr 24, 2006 at 3:49pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 You can use a paper clip to keep the shutter open. The only thing about using a paper clip, the top cover is not engaing the shutter anymore. If I can't fix something onsite, a paper clip will normally do the trick in certain circumstances. This will get things going again until I get a part. by msr976 on Nov 15, 2006 at 6:42am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 replace the fuser, its not the power supply. by unknown on Sep 5, 2003 at 6:38pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 There is nothing wrong with the fuser unit. The problem is from the powersupply.-- Dc woltage to LCD panel - ok-- Fuser lamp can't heated upCan anyone help which components failed? by unknown on Sep 8, 2003 at 7:03pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 There is no problem with the whole fuser unit assembly.I found the problem -- Powersupply unit Q200 fail -- 2sk2371 & resistor at this FET -- 12 ohms by unknown on Sep 12, 2003 at 12:14am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Gerald,Was this part on the LVPS.Was the
a 50.1 Fuser error, which I tracked down to the Low Voltage Power Supply's 24V rail being dead. I poked around the power supply a bit, but nothing is immediately obviously broken. unfortunately, a replacement power supply is about $250-$400. Are there any components on this power supply that are common failure points I should specifically check? Thanks! , Aug 4, 2005 #1 Advertisements David C. Partridge Guest I assume you've already hit the repair FAQ on SMPS repair? Also with these beasts, IIRC, there's possibly some involvement from the logic circuits telling the PSU to turn on certain sections. This *can* be just poor ribbon cable connections or open circuits. I am not sure where you are, but in the US a refurb C4265-69006 power supply is available from HP for $101 with return of the bad unit. See http://partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bin/sp...e=main&cpric=&psrchmode=&partsrch=C4265-69006 or go to http://partsurfer.hp.com and search for the LaserJet 8150. Regards, Bob Headrick, not speaking for my employer HP Regards Bob Headrick, Aug 5, 2005 #3 Guest I did not know HP will swap it out for only $101.
