Laser printer fusers adhere toner powder to a page using a combination of heat and pressure. Error 50.2 suggests the fuser can't heat up properly. This might be fuser https://mindmachine.co.uk/products/HP_Texts/HP_LJ-P4010_-_ops_error-50.2_01.html failure but could also be a power supply issue. Plug the printer directly into a wall socket, not into an extension. Try turning off, wait 20 minutes then on again. When the printer tried to heat the fuser the temperature measured by the thermistor did not change sufficiently in the time allowed. This problem seems less frequent than "50.1" and a bit less common than it used to be on older printers. It seems that the temperature does change when this fault occurs, just not sufficiently. The fault is a bit more difficult to diagnose because more details of the circuit are involved. There are actually two heater circuits in the P4014 series fuser but both the heater traces and the circuit diagram show them "common" at the fuser connector. If either side fails that will leave the fuser able to warm up but not reach the working temperature needed for full-speed operat

year old, total print count is 157,000I just wanted to check is there a maintenance schedule for this printer, and if it is due for any tune-up because we notice that fuser is not fusing properly and there is dust, but whenever we print test page, it is crispy clear and there isn't too much dust or smudge. Respond to this 0 Normal maintenance is 225K. That is not to say that the fuser can go bad before that. Remove the fuser and look at the teflon sleeve. Should be same color all the way around and be the complete length across. by dmzcompute on Nov 28, 2011 at 4:54pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Normal maintenance is 225K. It delays picking up paper about \%75 of the time, the error only occurs when there is more than 15-20 pages printed in same print job. by hyedipin on Nov 29, 2011 at 8:45pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I checked the fuser and in the teflon sleeve it is same collor all the way around, and the roll inside is also same color, but I see some white dust all over the place. Especially more accumulation on the left side. The gears seem to be in perfect shape, in fact still has the oil/grease on them. There was dust even inside the roll, so I assume it came out more when I was pulling it because we had just printed a few pages before, and dust would have gone away.We will investigate further but the dust should not be the reason for not fusing properly. The error was 50.2 FUSER ERROR. by hyedipin on Dec 2, 2011 at 2:11pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 The 50.2 is a low temperature error. That would account for it not fusing properly. Replace the fuser. I'm assuming the dust is paper dust. Nothing you can do about that except try a different brand of paper. by moe on Dec 2, 2011 at 3:50pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks. Do you have the link or part # for the fuse?Could it be the fuser or printer connectors? It seems to fuse perfectly fine in some cases, while others not so much. by hyedipin on Dec 2, 2011 at 11:05pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I said replace the fuser, not the fuse. RM1-4554 is the part number for the fuser. I've seen fusers that took a few pages to reach operating temperature. The first few pages didn't fuse the toner and later ones did. Some
