I replaced the following two different fusers LVPS - two different HVPS - don't know why, but I figured both PS's fuser motor M2 - two different Feed (fuser) PCB Fuser sensor PS6 DC Controller I checked the gears adjacent to the fuser motor - they spin OK I checked relevant cables with a OHM meter The fuser motor doesn't turn during bootup (like it should) Before taking this all apart to replace the fuser power connector and 50.7 fuser error other misc parts, has anyone run into a case where this 50.7 fuser error was caused by some strange part causing a chain reation. M2 is the pickup motor Look at page 232 of the service manual Reply With Quote 05-08-2009,09:12 AM #3 DCO57 View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries View Articles Member Join Date Sep 2008 Posts 31 Did everything mentioned in the manual...some items twice. Is that a typo? The fuser motor is M1. Now , after repeatedly taking this thing apart...its saying 50.4 instead of 50.7. This printer has me totally stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks R

Now they are getting more specific in detail so you can troubleshoot errors, like the 50.7 fuser error, making them easier and hopefully resolving the issue without buying unwanted parts. One important issue that has been known to cause problems with fusers is surge arrest or power strips. More and more electrical devices are being used in offices everyday. With that comes power strips to make sure everything can be plugged in and used. LaserJets are like big heaters, they draw a lot of power so they need to be plugged into their own socket and make sure no other heating device like a coffee maker, copier, or space heater is plugged into the same circuit. HP machines like the HP Color LaserJet 3000, 3600, 3800, CP3505 have a certain time frame in which to get to its correct operating temperature so if other large devices are drawing power on the same circuit it could cause these machines to work incorrectly possibly resulting in a 50.7 fuser error. If you were to call HP one of the first questions they always ask is if the machine is plugged straight into the wall or on a power strip or battery back up.
