Color LaserJet 3000, 3600, 3800, 2700, CP3505 series printers.A 50.9 fuser error is one of the most common errors. fuser error dell 2335dn If you get a 50.9 error (or any 50.x error) you can try turning the power off, reseating the fuser, and powering the printer back on for more printing; sometimes this will https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbqJetelpGA temporarily reset the fuser and let it print a few more pages, but in almost all cases the error will return shortly and you will need to replace the fuser.Fusers are a consumable part and it is expected over the life of the printer you will replace the fuser several times. HP estimates average fuser life to last around 100,000 pages; but a http://www.printertechs.com/printer-troubleshooting/337-50-9-fuser-error fuser can fail much earlier depending on printing conditions, heavy paper jams, and the quality of the fuser installed. the printer was still printing although the fuser was down to 2\% life.I ordered a new fuser unit and when arrived i installed and powered on. I tried to print a test page but there was a loud pop from the back of the http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/48154 printer and the 50.1 fuser error was displayed. Thinking this could be a faulty fuser i put http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/41382 the old (But working) fuser back in but the same error was displayed. When i opened the printer up i noticed one of the ceramic fuses on the bottom board (Near the power with a black mark on it) had blown. I replaced this and put the printer back together. I powered on with the old fuser still in but now am faced with a 50.9 fuser error.Looking where the electrical fuser error fuser / printer connections are i noticed one of the connectors is slightly melted on the printer side, probably happened just before the fuse blew. Im pretty sure the connection should be made as it was not too badly melted.Anyone have any ideas what to do / check next? Thanks in advance,John Respond to this 0 Hi everyone. Still a little stuck with this. Have removed the PCB's and have not found any blown components etc... Any ideas? by Anonymous on Jun 5, 2007 at 7:24am Add comment Please fuser error hp sign in to comment the fault is definately the power supply board rk2 0157 depending on 110v or 240v. The component is a BCR8KM (Triac or driver l think)this goes down and blows the 8 amp fuse. I have the same fault but cannot find someone to supply this component so at present you will need to fit the complete board, if l find a supplier l will let you know however l am in the UK and l assume you are in the states so you need 110volt power supply rk2 0157. Hope this helps and if you can find a supplier for this component please let me knowroger - stobby2 0 Replace the PCB that has the blown fuse on it and get a new fuser.Where did you get the fuser that caused all the problems? You might be able to get the supplier to replace the board, or at least sell you one cheap.I suspect that you need:RK2-0157-000CN Power Supply : Low Voltage power supply - Located on bottom left side of printer - 110 volt That part is the same in a CLJ 3500, you might be able to get a wole unit for the same price:http://search.ebay.comThe 3500 uses the same fuser as a 3550, and probably most of the parts other than the formatter are the same. by Stephen on Jun 5, 2007 at 7:44am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Hi,Just thought i'd update on the problem with this printer should anyone have a similar problem.I called HP and logged a call with the

My experience has been not to mess with remans. in color printers, I've seen problems with them in all color models as a tech they've created more headaches for me then they should.Being so new still its probably not worth buying remans yet, I know with some that we sell customers (for monocrome) that the savings on newer machines is only $30. To me thats not worth it because we get called out lots of time only to find out its a bad reman. by Sharpie on Oct 4, 2006 at 5:15am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I'm getting a 50.2 Fuser Error (3 in two days, most recently when trying to print envelopes)and have to take the fuser out, reseat it and turn the machine off. This is a huge waste of time since it takes the machine several minutes to come back on line. Would replacing the fuser solve this problem? The Control Panel instructions say if it continues to contact HP service. Is there anything I can do for this problem before I call a service technician?
