If you have black dots, most likely it's coming from the toner cartridge. by moe on Sep 27, 2005 at 9:57am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 First do a half cycle test with paper in tray 1, thats the fold down tray on the front of the printer.Run a test page by pushing the right side of the menu button, then push the right side of the item button twice to get to the configuration page, then push select to print it. When the trailing edge of the test sheet of paper is about 2 inches away from entering the printer open the cover, (this will stop the printer halfway through the print cycle). Remove the toner cartridge, you can now see an unfused image on the paper, if it looks good here then the problem is pr

I have a problem that I hope someone can shed some light on. I am getting a 52.0 error after each print. I have replaced the scanner/laser assy, the wiring harness and the dc controller board. The printer seems to be working fine except for having to cycle the power to clear the error every time. Any fuser error hp suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Posts 725 Power to the scanner can affect it if not correct. The power supply next to the DC may be the issue. Since you replaced the laser scanner assy if this new one is good then it is probably not the beam detectors. Can you hear the little "whoooooooop" of the mirror motor spooling up to speed? It may be wherever that gets its power is bad? I think it is the formatter that turns the laser on? Sorry, stabing in the dark here! Let us know what you find!
