any of the models posted on your site. The part number located on the fuser is RG5-4967. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Respond to 50.1 fuser error hp laserjet p1102 this 0 This fuser uses a ceramic heating element and unless you can find a source for one you have to replace the whole fuser assembly. by dmzcompute on Jun 26, 2007 at 2:39pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 You don't really need to replace the whole 50.1 fuser error hp 9050 assembly, you can replace just the fixing heater part as it is available separately. That does involve disassembling the fuser. We do have a fuser disassembly video. There isn't much of a saving, considering the labor involved. by moe on Jun 26, 2007 at 3:14pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Which fuser does the 5000n use? part of a maintenance kit; it is expected over the life of the printer you will replace the fuser several times. HP estimates average fuser life to last between 100,000 http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/48635 to 150,000 pages; but a fuser can fail much earlier depending on printing conditions, heavy paper jams, and the quality of the fuser installed. For a temporary fix, you can try turning your printer off and back on again. Sometimes the reboot will allow the fuser to reset itself and you can print a few more pages. If the http://www.printertechs.com/printer-troubleshooting/369-50-1-error-on-hp-laserjet-5000-5100 50.1 Fuser error message returns, it's time to replace your fuser. Also, on these LaserJet 5000 & 5100 series printers, when the fuser fails with a 50.1 error we recommend you replace the entire maintenance kit including the paper feed components, NOT just the fuser. It is very common on this model to see the rollers & separation pads wear out, even before the fuser fails. Paper won't feed properly, misfeeds can occur, and if paper jams inside the fuser it can damage the sensitive heating element in the fuser. Better to change ALL the maintenance kit parts at the same time as the fuser, than to just install a new fuser and have the new fuser damaged shortly after because of a bad paper jam. The 50.1 fuser error is the result of the machine registering a low temperature error. Obviously, like any other heating device they have low temperature problems rather than overheat issues. In fuser error this article I will talk about the most common situations that can cause the 50.1 fuser error in the HP laserjet 5200 and provide details on how to replace and purchase a new fuser if needed. HP 5200/5025/5035 Fuser AssemblyTroubleshooting The HP 5200 LaserJet 50.1 Fuser ErrorTroubleshooting the 50.1 fuser error in the HP laserjet 5200 can be easy if you know what to look for. First thing to check is the fuser error hp power source. These machines are in fact big heaters. It takes a lot of power to get one of these at the correct operating temperature. So when troubleshooting this error code you need to make sure the printer is plugged straight in a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Some people like to plug them into battery back ups. These can cause issues with your printer and is an extreme load on the battery inside the unit. To avoid the 50.1 fuser error and replacing the battery in your back up avoid plugging your HP laserjet 5200 printer into them. Also with it being a low temperature error just turning the machine off and on again might allow it to get to its correct temperature. Another thing to look out for is other large power consuming devices on the same electrical circuit.
