A 50 service error indicates a problem with the fuser assembly, this is the part of the printer that fuses (melts) the toner into the media. It consists of a heated roller or film and a pressure roller along with drive gears and http://www.all-laser.com/a50service/ sensors. It is subject to mechanical wear and thermal degradation. Most newer models have solid state thin film heating elements rather than the halogen lamps in older machines. These heating elements are subject to failure from burned resistive heating paths and fractures of the ceramic substrate material. There are typically two sensing elements, a thermal fuse to prevent catastrophic overheating, and a thermistor to provide feedback to the heating circuit and indicate when to turn the heating current on or off. It is important that replacement fusers use proven and tested replacement materials. Our remanufactured fusers use first quality replacement parts and ISO 9000 standards in the remanufacturing process. 50 Service errors can also be related to the power supply or control circuits. In many machines the fuser is a maintenance item and the major component of a maintenance kit. You can Self maintain your printer and save. Support for our customers is always available via email and live chat. One of these is error code -50, which may occur https://www.macissues.com/2015/03/11/how-to-fix-unexpected-error-50-in-os-x-when-deleting-or-moving-files/ when you attempt to copy, move, or delete files from external hard drives. If this http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/21552 occurs and you are stuck with a file you cannot manage, then you can likely overcome this error with a few possible approaches. 1. Check your drive with Disk Utility First, ensure the drive's formatting is OK, by using Disk Utility to run a verification routine on the storage volume that contains the file. To do this, select the volume in fuser error Disk Utility's sidebar, and then go to the First Aid tab and click Verify Disk. If any errors show up (text in red), then use the Repair button to fix them. 2. Unmount and re-mount your drive As a general and less-intrusive approach, you can also try ejecting your drive, followed by unplugging it. Then reboot your system, and then plug your drive in again. When it mounts, try managing the file on it. 3. 50.0 fuser error Rename the file One quick solution to this problem, suggested by MacIssues reader Matt, is to try renaming the file. Give it a general name like "myfile.txt" and confirm that you want to change the file extension (or even remove it). Then attempt to move or delete the file using the OS X Finder, and hope for success. 4. Use the Terminal to manage the file The Finder moves files using more checks and restrictions that Terminal commands, so you might have better luck moving or deleting the file using the Terminal. To delete the file, type "rm -f " followed by a single space, then drag the file to the Terminal window and press Enter. If the Terminal states the file cannot be deleted because you do not have permissions, then run the command "sudo !!" (the word "sudo" followed by a space and then two exclamation points) to re-run the prior command while prefixing it with "sudo" so it will run as administrator. Enter your password when prompted (it will not show when typed), and the command should now successfully run. To move the file instead of deleting, perform the following steps in the Terminal: Type "mv " followed by a single space. Drag the problematic file from the Finder to the Terminal window (its path should be entered). Similarly drag the

Possibly a cooling fan or the fuser itself needs replacing. by unknown on Aug 12, 2004 at 11:46am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 A 50 SERVICE indicates a problem with the fuser. Start there first, is it getting hot? The snag is, is it the fuser that's faulty? or is it the power supply to the fuser? If you have a pal with a LJ 4, see if you can borrow the fuser to try it out. There is a link for checking the lamp continuity before ordering. by jon on Aug 12, 2004 at 8:50pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 My printer is also throwing the 50 service code. The printer was given to me, however the unit was missing the toner cartridge. Would the missing cartridge cause the printer to throw a code 50? by unknown on May 11, 2005 at 11:00pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Missing cartridge has absolutely nothing to do with the fuser not reaching operating temperatu
