One Response to "Novell GroupWise Error Code C045" Stefan Says: 2011-06-10 13:10:18 UTC Hi, I ran into this problem, and fixed it by replacing the ngwguard.dc file in the archive-folder with one from another archive folder of some other user. After that the error did not come back again. I just wanted to post this somewhere, so people can find this solution which I had a hard time finding. [ author ] This is what the knowlegebase has for this error: After applying the GroupWise 5.2 service pack 2, the GroupWise POA continues to get the Error: C045 Dictionary record has improper syntax. The NGWGUARD.DC file was an incorrect date, after replacing it with the NGWGUARD.DC file from the GroupWise 5.2 CD, the POA recovered for the C045 errors. The NGWGUARD.DC can also be found in any other post office's directory. I have replaced it. It has a date of 11/16/98. As of this morning, I am still getting the error message. Has anyone had this problem before?
