Invalid Argument for large import or link P: n/a veaux Peeked around here but didn't really see an explanation as to the https://bytes.com/topic/access/answers/552361-invalid-argument-large-import-link varied "Invalid Argument" errors that appear in Access sometimes. I'm using Access 2003 and trying to import an Access table of ~200,000 records into my DB. I've tried importing, linking, exporting the original table to txt and importing or linking to that. Then I tried exporting the table to it's own DB (which worked) but still cant then import or link to the DB I'm using. I get "Invalid Argument" errors. There's no code or anything and I've repaired and compacted all relevant DB at least 3 invalid argument times each, rebooted, shut down and restart and nothing works. This happened to me about 2 yrs ago with importing "large" files and seems like an Access bug, but is there anything that can be done??? I've wasted a day already trying to get this data in!! Thanks, Darrell Oct 20 '06 #1 Post Reply Share this Question 2 Replies P: n/a Kc-Mass Try setting up an append query that only transfers maybe a fourth of your import data at a time Kevin C
