results. Answer One possible cause of this problem is a corrupt Location document in the Personal Address Book. Open the Notes.ini file and find the line starting with: Location= Remove everything after "Location=" , then save the Notes.ini file and restart the Notes Client. If the problem was due to a unable to fixup database invalid or nonexistent document corrupt Location document, the client now will open using the first Location document in the Personal Address Book. If you attempt to switch to the Location document that was originally set in the Notes.ini, the "Invalid or Nonexistent Document" error will again occur. This Location document will need to be restored from a backup or be re-created. It may be necessary to rename the Personal Address Book and create a new one. This may be necessary if the first Location document in the address book is the corrupt one. select "Create Certificate Request" or when you create a key ring. This error can occur if you open the Server Certificate Admin in the Lotus Domino Administrator client from the Files tab, go to the view "Create Key Rings & Certificates", then select "Create Certificate Request." You are, however, able to http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21098804 access this database using the Notes client. In other cases, this error can occur when you use a Lotus Notes client to access the database on the server and create a key ring. Cause This error can be reported for a number of reasons. This technote specifically addresses when the error occurs with certsrv.nsf database. Resolving the problem This issue has been reported to http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21106171 Quality Engineering as SPR# DMKA4CTKPX. You should use the Lotus Notes client to perform most tasks in the Server Certificate Admin application, as indicated in the Domino Administrator Help file. If you wish to use the Lotus Domino Administrator client, you can open the database using File -> Database -> Open instead of the Files tab. In some unusual cases, you might need to recreate the certsrv.nsf database to resolve the errors, or use a local copy of the Server Certificate Admin database instead of the copy on the server. For example in one case, an administrator had made several attempts to set up SSL using the Server Certificate Admin application. To be able to continue without error, the administrator deleted the Server Certificate Admin application (certsrv.nsf), recreated it, and renamed any existing .STH and .KYR files.
