Canon Camera Memory Card Error Card Locked
have a little "Canon Ixus 960 IS" which has been working perfectly until a couple of days ago.I took some photos, then took the card out to download them. Put the card back in and received that error - It's a new and original SanDisk ultra 8GB card. Now I'm 99.9% sure it's not the camera says memory card error card's fault as it reads perfectly on my computer. It's not locked either (that tiny little switch on the card's left hand side). I have a few other spare cards and non of them work in the camera. Still receiving the same error message....- I've also removed the battery for several hours (thinking no power may reset any error), but that isn't helping either.- Nothing "appears" wrong with the shutter which closes the battery/memory card compartment. Nothing appears stuck inside the memory card slot.Is there anything else I could possibly try?Help? Obviously I've never had a single problem with this camera until 8 hours before a big wedding. We have 4 cameras total, but that's split between https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3232631 4 people (2 photographers and 2 videographers). There's no rental shops that open in Chicago until 9 a.m, and our shooting starts before then. Here's the specifics. We just randomly got this message tonight while formatting a 16gb card. We tested 7 different cards and 7 different batteries. We have a few Transcend cards (2x16gb and 1x8gb, all Class 10 cards) 2 32 gb SanDisk Ultras (Class 10... these are brand new and never used) and a few old Optimas we really don't use anymore. We have 2 or 3 OEM Canon LP-E6 batteries and 4 or 5 off-brand batteries. We tested with and without our third-party battery grip, but still got the error and grinding noise regardless.Tried formatting all cards. No dice. Removed and replaced batteries. Nothing. Reset 60D to factory settings. Still nothing. I'm stumped. I've done nothing different or new with my camera. It's been working flawlessly all week. Here's where it gets weird. We're getting the "No card in camera" error at random times. It doesn't appear to be any one certain battery or one certain SD c

"There is no memory card in the camera" error message 9521 "There is no memory card in the camera" error message Answer ID 9521|Published 03/29/2004 03:55 PM|Updated 04/19/2011 02:03 PM There are several things which
experience a memory card error. Memory card errors affect the camera's ability to write to the memory card to store photographs. This means that your camera is virtually useless. There are a number of different things that you can do to correct this error. Step 1: Checking the Card The first thing to consider is that the card itself is damaged or broken. Flash memory cards do not last forever, and after a certain number of writes, they will fail. If you have another card to try, then change the card over to see if this corrects the error. If you experience intermittent errors, then it could be a sign that the camera is failing. Step 2: Formatting Your Card If the camera won't write to the memory card, then it could be because the memory card isn't in the correct format. Put the card back in the camera and format it in the options. This will ensure that the card will be compatible. Step 3: Checking the Contacts The contacts on the back of the card can become dirty or wear out completely. If the contacts are simply dirty, then a small eraser can be used to clean them. Also, try using compressed air to blow inside the memory card compartment to get rid of any dust on the contacts.
