The card I'm trying to use is a 4G SanDisk Ultra II SDHC card. I already tried moving the switch to the unlocked position, but the screen still says "card locked" and "memory card error". The good news is that you can pick these cards up for real cheap on Amazon or other online retailers. Hi Sorry, It is a Kodak Memory card 4GB SDHC.. It started with the one that I had already used and downloaded from..So went out and bought a new one and still the same message. Yikes! Expert: RUSSTING replied4 years ago. OK, no problem.First, depending on how long you were using the original card, it is very likely that it became corrupted or fragmented to the point of being non-functional. The cards can fail over time. The second problem here is that the Canon Powershot A530 model camera is not compatable with SDHC (4gb and up) cards. While the camera was sold in 2006 it was made in 2005 and the file structure set up for SDHC cards were not standard until 2007. While the card may fit in the cameras SD slot the 4gb or larger cards will not operate correctly with this unit. You must use an SD card the is 2gb or less in this camera due to the design. You can still purchase 2gb cards at the link belowhttp://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Class-Flash-Memory-SDSDB-2048-A11/dp/B0009RGLSEWith a new 2gb or under card you will be able to tell if the problem is the camera or the card. If, and only if my answer

My computer is not uploading or importing the pictures. I cleaned out the camera with compressed air (the kind you use on your keyboard) and also the sd memory card. Can I get my pictures from my card or are they lost? If memory card error I get another memory card, will the same thing happen because of a problem with the camera?
