Hi, I am sure this is something that is easy to fix, but whenever I turn on my camera, regardless of canon cameras memory card error the disk that is in it, it says memory card error. It also won't let me take pictures. Do I need to reformat it and how would I do that? Any suggestions would help because I https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/10177425 don't want to take it in to get it fixed. Thanks everyone. Arrow to the "Tools" section (look for the little tools icon)3. Find format in the list and select it by pressing the SET button. 4. Highlight OK and http://www.techlore.com/forum/thread/12465/memory-card-error-canon-digital-camera-a75 press the SET button. If formatting the card does not work, try ejecting the CF card and reinserting it. If still no, try a new CF card, as it's possible there is a problem with the one you have. If still no, then you may need to have the camera serviced.Good luck, let us know how it turns out. My camera locks up and I can't take any pictures. I bought another card 256MB SanDisk and am getting the same error message. I tried reformatting, but no luck. Not happy with the camera- not sure who to call??? 06-10-2005,07:32 PM memory card error #2 Akysten View Profile View Forum Posts Member Join Date May 2005 Posts 65 Where did you purchase the A75? I would try to return it to the place of purchase... If that fails, I would call Canon.. I've had a memory card error before, but it was my memory card.. not the camera. Sandisk replaced it within a week.. I've heard bad things about Canon's response time.. so I would definately try the place of purchase. If recently is less than 30 days, they'll probably swap it out for you.
