to do? Please help me out, I have some very precious photos in that card. Thanks in advance. harry_86, Feb 12, 2011 #1 Andy memory card error card locked Stanton Super Moderator Super Moderator Messages: 11,289 Likes Received: 48 Trophy Points: 48 Unfortunately when you formatted your memory card you lost all the photos on it. That's what formatting does. I don't know why you're getting a memory card error message. Perhaps you formatted it outside the camera. The card must be formatted in the camera itself. Andy Stanton, Feb 12, 2011 #2 nancyjohnson878 New Member Messages: 1 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 0 I guess there must be some protection in your card due to which the card and camera is unable to recognize the memory card, so first check it out. If that is not the problem then check your card with some other card reader and digital camera. If it works then ok otherwise your memory card is corrupted, which is very common problem as memory cards are supposed to give surprises like this. In order to get your photo’s back you either need to use the backup or you need to use any third party Digital Picture Recovery software which will surely recover all your data. All the best!
