It worked for my camera.I have read that if you simply remove the main rechargeable battery for 3 weeks this causes the internal 3-volt battery to discharge naturally and so, eventually, the time/date data will be deleted. On replacing the main rechargeable battery the internal 3-volt battery is said to be recharged from the main battery. Battery¶ The battery itself may be the problem. Remove the battery from the camera and insert it into the charger. If the light on the charger is red, the battery does not have a charge.
