I have been trying to get a PMCIA adapter with a Sandisck 512 MB flashcard to work on the machine. My main objective is to transfer

programs from the Card to the Machine. Here is what i am able to do. 1. I can punch a program from the machine to the card (and then view it on on the computer) 2. I can transfer that same program from the card back to the machine after deleting the program in the machine. Here is what i am not able to do. All i get with these steps is Memory Card Error 114. 1. I cannot just transfer a program in a text file to the machine. 2. If i modify a transfered program from the machine on the card, i cannot transfer it back to the machine. Even if it is as simple as changing one letter. 3. I cannot take a program that is transfered from the Machine to card and transfer it off the card to the computer, then back onto the card and then back to the machine. It still gives Memory card error 114. When a file that i transfered from the machine is on the card, it just shows up on the computer as file type "file". I can open it with notepad and view the file but that is all. Is there something i am missing? Is it possible to modify a program on the computer and transfer it back to the machine with the card?

Our machine builders are no help, like talking to a stump. Fanuc won't help cause I did not buy their 250.00 compact flash card. That out of the way, here's my issue No matter what adapter, what brand of card, what size of card I get, both machines spit out "Memory card not formatted" I was using channel 4 and I tried a 2GB card (Compact flash by the way), 1gb, and 128mb, sandisk brand, http://www.emastercam.com/board/topic/79099-fanuc-oi-md-memory-card-issues/ Lexar brand and a no name brand, 2 different pcmcia adapters, formatted on pc, also on machine, fat, fat32 and ntfs to no avail. Memory card not formatted always comes up. I'm starting to think that the machine will have specific parameters to be set for it to work right? When I format from the machine (Start up holding right arrow and right side soft key), the card is recognized, it formats successfully and when I reboot, the memory card not formatted alarm comes up again. I'm at the point of just getting the one from Fanuc but I have a feeling that will do the same thing and then the company is out 250 bucks. Any ideas? Here's everything you need to know. http://www.mtbtech.n...-for-FANUC.aspx Make sure you read all the comments. Make sure parameters #138 Bit 7 and #3404 (SBP) Bit 2 are set to 1. Also, make sure you are selecting the correct card area when you do a device change. There maybe a second card softkey shown in the second group of 5 softkeys on the right. Make sure you are using the softkey shown below. If you want to format it on your Control. I have no idea why you are

This memory card works fine on similar controllers at his work, is there a setting in his machine that needs changed? And of course how would he do it? The Fanuc manual he has does not list this alarm code.
