Video: SD Card Problems and Fixes FIX 1: I know that you probably already have checked the card's slide switch, but I just want to first present this for others with the same problem who may not be aware of this switch. Other options besides the slide switch are presented further in this article. Please check to make sure that you didn't accidentally place the tiny locking slide switch on the side of your SD card in the "locked" downward position. The correct "unlocked" position should be slid up toward the direction of the connectors. If you discover that the locking switch is actually missing or has broken off, proceed directly below to Fix #4a. You could try the card in another camera or try formatting in your computer. Confirm your memory card error memory card can appear as a drive letter in "My Computer", if it does and you can format then it is definitely the camera. So, SDHC and SDXC standard will not work at all in the FZ7. You will need to find a new SD card to prove if the fault lies with your old SD card or your camera. Perhaps a friend has an old SD card you can try. They're pretty reliable pieces of equipment.On those occasions where you do have an issue, you may receive an error message on the screen or the camera may just stop working for no discernible reason. Even though it can be a bit unsettling to see an error message on the screen of the camera, at least the error message provides a clue as to the potential problem, whereas the blank screen gives you no clues. The seven tips listed here should help you troubleshoot your Panasonic camera error messages.Built-in Memory Error error message. If you see this error message with your Panasonic camera, the internal memory area of the camera is either full or corrupted. Try downloading photos from the internal memory. If the error message continues to appear, you may need to format the internal memory area.Memory Card Locked / Memory Card error message. Both of these error messages are related to the memory card, rather than the Panasonic camera. If you have an SD memory card, check the write protect switch on the side of the card. Slide the switch up to unlock the card. If the error message persists, it's possible the memory card is corrupted and needs to be formatted. It's also possible the memory card was formatted using another device that is not compatible with Panasonic's file structure system. Format the card with your Panasonic camera to fix the problem ... but keep in mind that formatting the card will erase any photos stored on it. No Additional Selections Can Be Made error message. If your Panasonic camera allows you to "save" photos as your "favorites," you may find this error message because the camera has a limited number of photos that can be labeled as favorites, usually 999 photos. You cannot mark another photo as a favorite until you remove the favorite label from one or more photos. This error message also may occur if you're trying to delete more than 999 photos at one time.
