Sometimes Norton users get an error called 3048,3. I got it once a few weeks ago but ignored it. I just got the error message again. This time it norton error tried to fix itself and failed. It was about 20 minutes after manual updating. Norton advised me to download the Intelligent Updater which is 197M and took about 20 minutes. I ran it, and it said it was successful. But a few minutes later, the 3048 error box appeared again. I followed further Norton advice and downloaded Norton Power Eraser which is very small, and ran it. It restarted the whole computer norton error 3039 and scanned for about 5-10 minutes. I forgot what it said exactly, except that it found nothing. I did research and this error message is just a broad way of saying something is wrong with the updates. It shouldn't be like this, and the fixes should be automatic. My computer seems to be okay now. Does anyone know anything more specific about what the problem is? 05-03-2013, 08:55 PM Tek_Freek 22,570 posts, read 31,386,531 times Reputation: 29805 What is Norton IS 19? I know what NIS is because I use it exclusively, but 19? This says a lot: Quote: Sometimes Norton users get an error called 3048,3. I got it once a few weeks ago but ignored it.
