running Norton Anti-Virus 2011 on a Dell desktop with Windows XP professional, SP3. My Norton version is 18.6.0.29. Today I have had multiple error messages - all the same: ccSvcHst.exe - application error. The instruction at "0x7c916f56" referenced memory at "0xbb0cfe3f". The memory could not be read. The 2 choices are click OK to terminate the program or click CANCEL to debug the program. I have tried both with no success. Both ultimately ccsvchst.exe memory cause Norton AV to shutdown and disappear from the system tray. Double clicking the desktop icon does not bring it back. It comes back if I shut down the computer and restart, but then a few minutes later it diplays the same error message. I saw that live update finished its last update only a few minutes ago and I tried to do a full scan, but the error message terminates the scan as well. Help please.
