Please explain exactly what method you are trying to ghost the drive and please give your system specs. Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly." Just like NooNoo asked, give us system specs...specifically info on the hard drives and their controllers (IDE, SATA, SCSI, etc). Also, any specific reason for the upgrade? I mean, you don't have a faulty drive you are trying to replace or anything right? inthewayboy.net admin@inthewayboy.net Reply With Quote August 16th, 2004,04:40 AM #4 corturbra View Profile View Forum Posts Registered User Join Date Oct 2000 Location Just to the Right of Sanity.. If you are wanting to image your 40MB harddrive, point http://forums.windrivers.com/showthread.php?62531-Norton-Ghost-Problem!!! to that drive as the Source drive and then point to the drive you want to store the image on as the Destination drive. If you could provide a few more details on what you are planning to use the image for, that would help us help you. Start > Run key in: compmgmt.msc Under Storage Click on Disk Management Is the E Drive listed as Free Space without a drive letter? Or does it appear with the Drive letter and the File System it is formatted as- FAT32 or NTFS? Does Windows show the E Drive as Healthy? The USB external hard drive is recognized in Windows XP completely. Having NO idea what computer you're using, since you didn't do your do's and tell us, I can't tell you exactly what setting to use. It might be something like "USB Legacy Support".I just turn ON all the USB options and that usually does the trick. So once you've done these things, Ghost should be able to see your USB drive. (assuming it's been formatted, of course)Let us know if you get it.The Shadow IP Logged Wakenaam Dude Offline Better to light a candle than curse the darkness Posts: 20 Back to top Re: Ghost does not see my USB hard drive Reply #2 - Oct 14th, 2008 at 7:03pm TheShadow: Thanks for your response.
