Version 15.0.0.35659. I'm running Windows XP and just started getting this message. Restart my machine seems to stop it for a while but inevitably it keeps coming back up. Pulled the Windows log files and there are some system error records in there related to Ghost 15, see below. I'll continue to try to trouble shoot but does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? Are you running XP 32 or 64 bit and Home or Professional? What version of Ghost did you previously have? Did you completely uninstall the previous version before installing Ghost 15? This looks like a possible problem with the Microsoft C++ redistributable package which Ghost uses. Are you up to date on all Windows critical updates? Anyway, I'm running windows XP 32 bit Professional. Previously I was using Ghost 14 and when I installed 15 it went through the removal process of the previous version. I did not do it manually. As far as I can tell I am up to date on all of my Windows critical updates. Haven't received any messages that anything needs updating. AllenM Guru Norton Fighter25 Reg: 14-Dec-2008 Po
13, 2006 Messages: 245 I had a drive crash and moved my Ghost 15 backup location to another drive, and copied the files over. It wouldn't let me 'add protection' (create a new backup), so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Now, it won't run at all. I get the following error messages: 1.Runtime error! Program C:\Program Files\Norton Ghost\Agent\VProTray.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. 2. Runtime error! Program C:\Program Files\Norton Ghost\Agent\VProConsole.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Any information or help would be most appreciated. cadlewv, Aug 21, 2010 #1 cadlewv Joined: Jan 13, 2006 Messages: 245 Also, when I try to set it to run as administrator, it crashes Explorer. cadlewv, Aug 21, 2010 #2 glc Forum Administrator Staff Member Joined: May 26, 2000 Messages: 47,951 Location: Joplin MO Will it run from boot media? That's always better than trying to run it in Windows. glc, Aug 21, 2010 #3 cadlewv Joined: Jan 13, 2006 Messages: 245 Thanks. Yes, it will run upon booting to the cd. Of course, it would require me manually backing up my drive and files. I'd like the ability to set it, schedule it and forget it. Any ideas? cadlewv, Aug 21, 2010 #4 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.) Show Ignored Content Your name or email address: Do you already have an account? No, create an account now.
