I/O error Patton76 Junior Member Join Date:Sep 2001 Location:Belgium Status: Offline Dec 14, 2005, 10:04 PM Since a few weeks, i experienced moments of total unresponsiveness of my system. These moments last from a few seconds to a few minutes. In the meantime the harddisk makes a repeating ticking sound. So, i looked in Console, and i see this message: kernel[0]: disk0s9: I/O error. What is this, and what's the solution? Techtool reports no bad blocks, and S.M.A.R.T. reports no errors. I guess it's something with the harddrive, but i'm not sure. Any idea's? Thanks!
