The parameters have different meanings depending on what type of CPU you have but, while diagnostic, rarely lead to a clear solution. Most commonly it results from overheating, from failed hardware (RAM, CPU, hardware bus, power supply, etc.), or from pushing hardware beyond its capabilities (e.g., overclocking a CPU). Re: Mcshield Error whem logging on windows Machine aladdin9 Jul 20, 2011 12:58 PM (in response to netsec) I had similar mctray.exe errors with VSE 8.7i Update 2 on XP SP3 systems when I upgraded them to MA 4.5 Patch 3 (4.5.0.1852). I upgraded the VSE 8.7i to Update 4 (Update 5 has been pulled) and it works fine with MA 4.5 Patch 3. In your case since you already have the latest VSE 8.8, try upgrading the MA 4.5 to Patch 3, your MA 4.5.1810 version appears to be Patch 2. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2.
