Dell Inspiron 4100 laptop without a CDROM. The operating system is WRK Prof. It won't book up and I made 4 setup floppies by putting in a W2K Cd in another computer and using the makeboot utility. When I turn on the laptop with the disk i/o error replace the disk first boot floppy the error message I get is: NTLDR: I/O error reading disk Please insert

The windows 2000 professional flashscreen comes up and then it goes blue and hangs. Same thing happens in safe mode no matter what choice I make, w/networking, w/dos prompt.
