Ora-27072 File I/o Error Oracle
File I/O error Additional information: 2 dsmoljanovic Feb 25, 2008 7:32 AM Recently we keep getting this error in our data warehouse. I can not pin point the cause of this. It's not easily reproducible, just happens from time to time. Anyone knows anything about this? We are running aix 5.3. Could this ora-27072: file i/o error linux-x86_64 error: 5: input/output error have anything to do with aioservers? 34911Views Tags: none (add) errorsContent tagged with errors, ora-604-27072-Content tagged with ora-604-27072- This content has been marked as final. skgfdisp: I/O error IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 5: I/O error The procedure populates a table with data from 2 local tables and a linked database table. Oracle recommends upgrading the AIX to the https://community.oracle.com/thread/624079 newest patch level -we are at the most current patch level.... and applying an Oracle database patch {5496862}. Unfortunately all 8 production instances will have to be patched, since all are on the same Oracle home. Not that I don't want to do the work, but I am looking for alternatives to applying this patch to these high activity instances, to minimize downtime. Has anyone had a similar situation http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/142856/ and found another approach? On one forum I saw a similar post and the recommended solution was to move the tablespace file to a different drive, on a different controller. Thanks in advance for your help! Next, check to make sure that there are no logical filesystem errors. Check to see that it is not a space issue and also make sure that the datafile is not corrupt. If all this checks out, it may be a security issue. Good luck 0 LVL 1 Overall: Level 1 Oracle Database 1 Message Expert Comment by:misho20002001-02-10 Is it possible drive E: to be o
