Actually qbittorrent errored it works great. But sometimes, when I select some files from a torrent for download and other I select not, at some point qbittorrent halts the download and states that one of the files or directories, which I never wanted to download anyway is not there. So it gives me an I/O error. I don't mind that. But what bothers me is that annoying notification field in the upper right corner of my screen, which states this error notification. It shows up, holds for a few seconds, then briefly disappears and is back there within 2 or 3 seconds. I have killed qbittorrent (even via killall). I checked ps -ax with grep, but there was no qbittorrent threat left. But this damn notification keeps coming until I log out and in again. Can you tell me how to get rid of that stupid field when it comes up again? Because it goes over wifi, it's not 100.000% reliable. And once every hour or so, on average, all https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2101922 my active torrents pause. Looking in the execution log, an I/O error is reported, so presumably qBittorrent then pauses the torrent. The previous client I used, Vuze, never had this problem -- I guess it would keep trying again, or something. I switched to qBittorrent for something lighter, and it's great, but it's not going to work if I start to download a torrent overnight, and then discover https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/1149 in the morning that only 5% downloaded because it ran into a temporary I/O error and then paused it. Is there any kind of hidden configuration option or something to prevent this pause behavior? Any way to create an applescript to unpause all torrents every 60 seconds, or something like that? Or any possibility of changing this behavior in the future? Thanks! mjbaldwin commented Dec 5, 2013 The exact error that appears: 05/12/2013 00:43:33 - An I/O error occured, '

I will appreciate any help.Regards,Siddhartha Logged sledgehammer_999 qBittorrent maintainer Administrator qbittorrent i/o error Forum addict Posts: 2318 Karma: +135/-1 Re: An I/O problem for the qBittorrent « Reply #1 on: October 19, 2014, 12:00:11 pm » To see the while error open your log(view -> execution log). From the snippet it seems that you don't have write permissions to the folder you are downloading. "Permission denied" at the end. Also what version of qbt are you using? I am downloading the files to a partitioned hard disk where I have been saving data. Yesterday only I downloaded the software from Application/ Software center of Ubuntu and was able to download the files using the torrent software. I do not know what happened today that I am having this problem. I am using 3.1.8 version (that is what I could get from the help drop down menu of the software). I have 10 GB space left on the hard disk. I am new to torrent stuff though have been listening about them for more than
