Today qBittorrent gave me I/O errors and I found out that it's caused by Avast and it's happening to other people too (official qBittorrent forum): http://qbforums.shiki.hu/index.php/topic,3403.0.htmlIt can be solved by putting the download folder in the exclusions but since I would prefer that Avast check this folder (as other people I o error think) I'm informing you of this issue hoping that it can be solved. Thank you.I have:- Windows XP- Avast Free Antivirus 2015.10.2.2218- qBittorrent 3.1.11 « Last Edit: April 29, 2015, 03:55:20 PM by bender01 » Logged lucD Jr. Member Posts: 90 Re: I/O error with qBittorrent « Reply #1 on: April 29, 2015, 11:33:45 PM » I use qBittorrent with the latest qbittorrent i/o error version of Avast (.2218) and haven't experienced this problem. I'm also using the latest version of qBittorrent (3.1.12) ... have you tried updating? Only two people in that forum thread have suggested that Avast and qBittorrent may be conflicting on their machines. « Last Edit: April 29, 2015, 11:41:20 PM by lucD » Logged bender01 Jr. Member Posts: 20 Re: I/O error with qBittorrent « Reply #2 on: April 29, 2015, 11:54:34 PM » The people from that forum have the latest version so that's not the problem. The problem started today/yesterday so it has to be something that has been updated and in my case it could only be Avast or Windows (but I didn't get Windows notifications so it's less likely). Also, if I disable Avast I don't get the error. You didn't get the error maybe because you don't have XP? « Last Edit: April 29, 2015, 11:59:36 PM by bender01 » Logged Print Pages: [1] Go Up « previous next » Avast WEBforum » Avast support forums » Avast Free/Pro/IS/Premier (Moderators: MartinZ, hectic-mmv, petr.chytil) » I/O error with qBi
