Error Message When you receive an error message in Outlook 2003 that says you have an error in the registry for Exchange Extensions: "The syntax or format of the registry entry is incorrect. Check the registry and compare the registry for this extension to other extensions in the registry." This error means you have a corrupt registry key. While you can edit the registry to fix the problem, you really should upgrade to the latest SP for Outlook 2003 to correct it for good. See //support2.microsoft.com/kb/823633 for more information. opening Outlook 2003: Error in registry for extension "Exchange Extensions;?"‘ error message when you start Outlook 2003 Solution: 1. This was http://www.techsopa.com/sopa/error-in-registry-for-extension-exchange-extensions-error-message-when-you-start-outlook-2003/ corrected with Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1). So update your Office to the latest Service Pack. (Recommended) OR 2. Registry Edit Workaround Warning If you https://support.cch.com/kb/solution.aspx/sw31873 use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result outlook 2003 from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Quit Outlook 2003. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK. Expand the registry, and then click to select the following subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Extensions Right-click Exchange Extensions, and then click Delete.
