I have experienced the same problem. I have found one solution which in my case is working fine. The message I received was in HTML format. I changed the HTML format to Rich Text format while forwarding or replying to this email and it goes perfect. This is happening from a sender using outlook express in Windows vista only. 0Votes Share Flag Back to Software Forum 4 total posts (Page 1 of 1) Search Related Discussions 2 Need advice for inventory software georgeclike · September 21, 2016 4:56am PST 0 Do you think employee productivity be improved using a car tracking system? jointviews · October 13, 2016 11:18pm PST 0 support online meoc

Sometimes you can get this error if you are using Microsoft Word as your message editor. Here is how to http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/itanswers/unspecified-error-in-microsoft-outlook-2003/ check, and change that setting: On the Outlook menu bar select Tools > Options Click on the Mail Format tab. Make sure the "Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages" checkbox is not selected. I have not found out why this is a problem (yet) and I have a few users who ARE using Word as their e-mail editor with out any problems. 4, 2007. Jaimerogers Guest I recently have had problems forwarding an email that has a lot of graphics in it or saving drafts of similar emails. I have Outlook (2003) configured to use Word (2003) as my editor and this problem does not occur when Word is http://www.office-forums.com/threads/unspecified-error-when-forwarding-email-or-saving-a-draft.1439654/ not my editor. The thing is, I need Word as the editor so I can edit http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/microsoft-word-unspecified-error-when-trying-to-reply-to-email.3394323/ the hyperlinks among other things. So when I hit send or try to save a draft I get "Unspecified Error" and it will not forward or save. I have tried detect and repairing Word but that didn't help. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Jaimerogers, Jun 4, 2007 #1 Advertisements Jaimerogers Guest Also, I have tried the OLE registration error fix (although I have not been outlook 2003 getting that error message) and that did not do anything either. It looks like a lot of other people on other discussion groups are having the same problem with no solutions so if anyone can figure it out, you will be very popular. Change this to either plain text (won't work because you are sending an HTML newsletter and PT will change the formatting and disable the images) or Rich Text. Rich Text saves the message formatting but does not give the error described on my workstation. Good Luck! 2008. KtCraig Guest I've run into a strange issue with Word as my editor in Outlook. I try to reply to certain email addresses and receive an 'unspecified error' when I click send in the reply email. To get around it I have to open a fresh email and copy everything over. There are no attachments involved or anything and this seems to occur when dealing with a few specific email addresses with the majority working just fine. I've read similar queries dealing with hyperlinks and attachments but my problem pops up even in the absence of those elements. Any help is appreciated! C KtCraig, Jan 23, 2008 #1 Advertisements Fastmetrics Support Guest Unspecified Error & Interface Not Registered Error in Microsoft Outlook w/ MS Word as the editor. Hello, When using Microsoft Word as an email editor through MS Outlook 2002/2003 you may encounter an "Unspecified Error" when sending email. Some KB articles will state it's an issue with HTML content within the word editor. So by going into Tools, Options, and changing HTML format to PLAIN TEXT it removes that error, but it also replaces it with another error called "Interface not registered." The 2nd error message tells us that there is an issue with the registry and by following this example below you should be able to remove this error message from your machine. Others have mentioned that this is caused by Microsoft Outlook ADD-In's or Adobe 6.0 products that try to integrate themselves with Word, Outlook, and browsers. These Outlook add-in's somehow interfere with the regular tasks that Word and Outlook handle and create a bug in the registry. The fix for this issue is the following MS KB Article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870707 This should work for Outlook 2002 or Outlook 2003.
