The object could not be Found. ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ QuanMarch 1, 200912 Share 0 0 This has been driving me crazy for a couple of weeks now so I wanted to blog the where is frmcache.dat located in windows 7 solution and hopefully help someone else that runs into this. A couple of frmcache.dat file weeks ago, I rebooted my machine, logged in and launched MS Outlook. From that point on, every time I created a your autocorrect file could not be saved new email, replied to an email, create a meeting request, open a meeting request or one of other numerous tasks, I would get a prompt saying: "Could not install the custom actions. The object https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2020427 could not be found" I had no idea what that meant but assumed it had something to do with the Outlook install on my machine. I took a look at the setup logs and patches applied but couldn't figure out what was going on. Finally, after some more searching online, it looks like one of my caches got corrupted. To fix my problem, I had to search for https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/quanto/2009/03/01/microsoft-outlook-could-not-install-the-custom-actions-the-object-could-not-be-found/ frmcache.dat on my machine. Make sure you enable searching for hidden files. Once you find it, delete the file (or rename it to be safe) and then relaunch outlook. That solved my problem and no more prompts everytime I try to create a new email.

not install the custom actions. The object could not be foundThis tenacious little error message popped up for our long-suffering admin staff every time they tried to open a message or create a new one. As you can imagine, it got irritating very quickly. It's because of a corrupt Forms cache, which needs to be deleted. The fix runs like this:1. Close Outlook.2. Under C:\Documents and Settings find the folder for the user who's experiencing the problem.3. Make sure under the Tools, Folder Options menu that system files are not hidden.4. Navigate to \Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\FORMS, and delete the file FRMCACHE.DAT.Then clear out and restart Outlook. You'll get a quick flashing dialog telling you that the form is being regenerated, and everything should be fine.
