I understand the 32-bit version of Office is preferred. In both cases I am running Windows 7 x64 (Enterprise and Ultimate, respectively). And in both cases I have Office 2010 Professional Plus Beta 32-bit x86 (November 2009 public beta). On both of these machines, opening an email message in Outlook caused Outlook to crash, and upon the subsequent re-opening of the application, I was prompted that the "pdfmoutlook" add-in was the guilty party, and was asked if I wanted to disable it. I clicked Yes to disable it, and the problem went away, permanently. If I check the Outlook add-ins, pdfmoutlook.dll is shown as disabled. Thus if you switch to the Pro version, I expect your issue should go away.On a third home machine I have Office 2010 x64 installed but have not installed Acrobat 9, so I don't know if this will appea

PDFMOutlook.dll is a type of DLL file associated with Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard developed by Adobe Systems Incorporated for the Windows Operating System. The latest known version of PDFMOutlook.dll is 1.0.0.0, https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/7198f388-9214-47fc-b01d-e5097df9ce52/pdfmoutlookdll-addin-crashes-outlook?forum=outlook which was produced for Windows. This DLL file carries a popularity rating of 1 stars and a security rating of "UNKNOWN". What Are DLL Files? DLL ("dynamic link library") files such as PDFMOutlook.dll are small programs, similar to EXE ("executable") files, which allow multiple software programs to share the same functionality (eg. printing). For example, let's say you are running Windows http://www.solvusoft.com/en/files/missing-not-found-error/dll/windows/adobe-systems-incorporated/adobe-acrobat-9-standard/pdfmoutlook-dll/ and editing a document in Microsoft Word. The DLL file that controls printing does not need to load unless it's function is needed - eg. you decide to print your document. When you select "Print", Microsoft Word calls the printer DLL file, and it is loaded into memory (RAM) at that time. If you want to print a document in another program, Adobe Acrobat for example, that same printer DLL file will be used as well. Why Do I Have DLL Errors? Because they are shared files, DLL files exist outside of the software application itself. Although this provides many benefits for software developers, this separation also provides an opportunity for problems to occur.Quite simply, if Windows cannot properly load your PDFMOutlook.dll file, you will encounter an error message. Please see "Causes of PDFMOutlook.dll Errors" below for more information. When Do DLL Errors Occur? DLL errors, such as those associated with PDFMOutlook.dll, most often occur during computer startup, program startup, or while trying to use a specific function in your program (eg. printing). All of a sudden, this morning, when I shut down my computer, Outlook complained about an error. I didn't capture that message. When I rebooted the computer and started Outlook, I got the attached error message http://ask.brothersoft.com/pdfmoutlook-add-in-error-message-252319.html about the pdfmoutlook add-in. I did a little checking and found several complaints about this add-in going back to 2009. None of them offered a solution other than disabling the add-in. I did that, but now I have no outlook 2013 way to save emails as PDF documents. Is there a solution to this problem or an alternative way to save emails as PDF docs? #2 01-30-2014, 11:53 PM Jennifer Murphy Windows XP Office 2007 Competent Performer Join Date: Aug 2011 Posts: 132 Using a virtual printer is a great idea. I had a message that pdfmoutlook addin was causing the problem, do I want to disable it. I said no that because I was just about to install Acrobat and Flash and thought lack of software caused the conflict. However, after installing these software, outlook freezes problem persists. I tried to disable pdfmoutlook from Tools - Trust Center but can'tdoso. Message was "The connected state of Office Add-Ins registered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be changed." I changed permissions can be changed by right-clicking the Office 2007 program icon in the Start menu and selecting Properties, then Security, then Edit Permissions, still couldn't disable this addin. What can I do now? Outlook freezing is driving me insane. How can I get Outlook to prompt me with the message to disable this addin again?
