LATE JAM" I have tried changing the paper, toner cartridge, and paper tray with one from another unit. I have verified that the paper size is set correctly on the tray. The paper feeds normally form tray 1 (the manual feed). I cannot find any scraps of paper in the paper path or anything else that looks ouut of the ordinary. This printer is only 4 months old and still under warranty. I can send it in to HP for service, but would like to know if there is anything I can do or check before I go that route.THanks in advance. Respond to this 0 Turn the printer around and lift the flap behind the paper tray. If you have a flashlight, get it. You want to watch the action of the paper pickup http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/HP-LaserJet-P3015-phantom-paper-jam/td-p/504093/page/6 roller. By observing to see if it is rotating, slipping on the paper or whatever, you should be able to determine why the paper isn't feeding. A lot of times, it is as simple as the paper backstop has slid back and the roller can't grab the paper that is 2 inches out of reach. Wish I had $10 for every one of those I've seen. Since you've replaced the tray and paper, I would think you might have noticed that. Is the paper moving out of the tray http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/49328 at all? by moe on Jul 23, 2007 at 5:26pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Thanks moe for the super quick response. I will look from the rear tomorrow at the pickup rollers. When I was first called to look at the problem, my first discovery was that the paper backstop had slid back. I fixed it but the problem kept occurring. The paper picks up and feeds for about 3 inches before it stops and reports the jam. The paper feed is a bit uneven. Goes in a bit more on the left than the right. As I said in the previous post, swapping with another tray did not help at all. Thanks again for any help you can offer. I'll let you know what I find out tomorrow when I take a peek from the rear. - amifiles 0 Go to the link below if Moe's suggestion does not work. Sometimes using a stiff folder feeding up from the bottom with the tray removed will dislodge it. by dmzcompute on Jul 23, 2007 at 7:26pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Dude you are the Man!!!!The darn Paper Back Stop! Printer Error Codes and Support Error: 13.01.00 JAM IN TRAY 2 Error Description: A page is jammed in https://www.orionmarket.com/product_error/7302/HP/HP-3600/13.01.00-jam-in-tray-2/ tray 2. The printer attempted to feed paper from tray 2 (main cassette), but the leading edge did not get to the top-of-page sensor in time. Solution: 1. https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27831217/HP-LaserJet-P3015-event-log-13-01-00.html Check the registration flap for proper orientation; it should pivot freely to allow paper to feed from tray 2 or tray 1/3. 2. Check the T2 pick roller printer error lock mechanism. 3. If using OHT, Label, or 120 g/m2 media, follow restricted loading procedures (only 50 sheets of OHT/ Label media or 100 sheets of 120 g/m2 media may be loaded at one time). The lift plate springs are not stiff enough to handle greater quantities. 4. Verify that the media basis weight does not exceed printer error 13.01.00 120 g/m2. If it does, run media from tray 1. 5. Inspect the paper-length adjustment guide and verify that it is set correctly. 6. Inspect the tray 2 paper-present sensor to make sure it is not stuck in the up position. Rotate the sensor upward and release; if it drops without hesitation, it is operating properly. 7 if error still persists, replace paper pickup assembly HP RM1-2755-080CN Paper Pick-up Assembly MFG Part Number: RM1-2755-080CN Condition:Refurbished MFG:HP This HP RM1-2755-080CN is Genuine and works with the HP 3600, HP 3800, HP CP3505 Printer series. It keeps saying there's a paper jam when there isn't, so we are pulling the drawers and cartridge out many times a day to get it to work. I checked out and found as solution that the feed (paper pickup) roller need to be replaced, but I couldn't have found what is the spare part number for it. I don't know if there is an easy solution, or that this is a symptom that it needs to go to hospital or into retirement but would welcome your thoughts on it. Please can you provide me with spare part number for feed roller or any ideas on what to do next! Thank you in advanced! 0 Question by:nasolsi Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution bymossmis To make sure it is the rollers that are the issue, pull one out and check for wear. It would probably be worth upgrading to the latest firmware version if you haven't done already. Its a fix suggested here for the CP6015 (May or may not apply to your model): http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01432035&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=120&contentType=SupportFAQ&prodSeriesId=3463669&prodTypeId=18972 If its a fairly old printer though I would just bite the bullet and upgrade/replace it. 0 Message Accepted Solution by:mossmis2012-08-16 To make sure it is the rollers that are the issue,
