If you do not have 9.0.9 installed, see How do I update Final Draft 9? Final Draft 8 will not be updated to address this problem. FD8 users should use this workaround: Choose Print from the File menu or File ribbon tab; In the Print dialog click the Printer Name dropdown menu to choose a printer; Choose Microsoft Print to PDF; (if this is not an option see I have Windows 10 and I don't have the Microsoft Print to PDF driver installed.) Click OK (do not click Print to PDF); Type a file name in, choose a location on your computer and click Save. Related articles... code -20" Posted by Stefania Grisetti on 24 January 2011 11:44 AM The "Printer not activated Error code -20" typically is generated when the PDF Converter encounters an issue with the activation code used to enable the printer. Either an incorrect activation code was used to install the printer or the PDF Converter is unable to read the activation code (activation code registry entry was not found). All users of the PDF Converter must have at least read/write privileges to the "HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software\ " and "HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software" keys in the registry. If the user does not have permissions to access these keys, the conversion process will fail and the "Printer not activated Error code -20” error message will get generated. To resolve this problem you need to type regedit in the Windows command bar and go to the HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software folder. Select and right-click the printer that gives you problems and click on the "Permissions..." button. On the form that appears, selecting Everyone, the "Full Control" and "Read" options must be enabled (40 vote(s)) Helpful Not helpful Comments (0) ©2000-2013 progeCAD powered by Help Desk Software by Kayako
