Solved Printing from Outlook + "Printer Not Ready" Posted on 2009-01-13 MS printer not ready error windows 7 Applications MS Office 1 Verified Solution 4 Comments 7,642 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-10 Hey Experts - This one is driving me nuts. Last week we installed new printers at a client of ours (Dell Lasers). One user when she http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Printer-not-ready-when-printing-from-Outlook/td-p/5228434 goes to outlook and prints says "Printer Not Ready" I disabled addons and booted into Outlook.exe /safe and same issue. I ripped out Office 2003 and reinstalled (used MS Cleanup) I created new profile (they are on exchange) I installed printer locally using TCP/IP instead of share off server. What else can I do, nothing has fixed it. Make sure that "Enable bidirectional support" is not checked. If it is, uncheck it. Reboot that computer is necessary. See if this eliminates the issue (it does 99 times out of 100 when I've seen it). Normally this is due to the printer/spool waiting for commands it will never receive. 0 Message Author Closing Comment by:Fluid_Imagery2009-05-20 That seemed to have done the trick, sorry for not accepting it sooner. Thanks. 0 Message Expert Comment by:ITACS2011-04-18 I am having trouble getting my Outlook 2007 messages to print. When I attempt to print any email, I get the following error message - Printer Not Ready. I can print from all other appications without trouble. The interesting thing is that if I log on as the local machine (or domain) administrator, printing works fine from Outlook. When I log back on with my user account, I get the same error. My account has both local and domain administrator privileges, I have removed Office and reinstalled and I get the same error. 0 Message Expert Comm

The printer and http://www.networksteve.com/exchange/topic.php/Outlook_2010_won't_print_to_a_specific_network_printer./?TopicId=49186&Posts=1 it's associated cables are OK since they work on another computer. In fact I have tried two different printers with the same result. Checked drivers and there are no conflicts. It seems to be a problem with printer not the motherboard? It is an older NEC with win95OS. I don't know where to try now or how to either. In the bios setup, is the port enabled? ~Candy~, Jul 19, 2002 #2 lojo5612 Thread Starter printer not ready Joined: Jun 17, 2002 Messages: 158 Yes to both questions. They can and do go out. Per chance do you have an add-in parallel port card laying around that you can pop into the computer? ~Candy~, Jul 19, 2002 #6 lojo5612 Thread Starter Joined: Jun 17, 2002 Messages: 158 No that I don't have. I don't think I want to canibalize one that is working pretty good now and is destined for my sister who has to get her feet wet computerwise. Any other suggestions? lojo5612 lojo5612, Jul 19, 2002 #7 ~Candy~ Retired Administrator Joined: Jan 27, 2001 Messages: 103,706 They are pretty cheap to buy...... ~Candy~, Jul 19, 2002 #8 lojo5612 Thread Starter Joined: Jun 17, 2002 Messages: 158 Just made an E-bay purchase. She can log onto another domain computer and print from outlook. All other programs on her computer will print to that printer. Just not outlook. Her Outlook will print to other network printers, but none of them are at her location. I have done a repair on it through "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features" with no luck. Anytime she tries to print from Outlook she gets a pop up message that reads "Printer not ready". I've been able to rule out the exchange / print server, and concluded that it has to be Outlook. I'm thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling office but would prefer to avoid that if possible because it is a remote computer in a foreign location and the latency makes it a slow process for both of us. Any ideas? I'm stumped. I posted this onanswers.mocrosoft.com May 7th and have had no replies. Since the initial incident, I tried the following hoping for a solution: I copied the users data (documents, desktop, favorites, etc.) to a folder on the "C" drive. I then deleted her domain profile from the computer and had her log back in to re-create the profile on the computer. I moved her data to the corresponding locations from the previous profile and set her exchange account back up. Everything was working just as always, except she still had the same printing issue. The next day when she logged in, she got a message saying that she was being logged on to a temporary profile. I checked under C:\Users on her computer and saw that her profile was still there, but all of her data was missing. I foundan article about making registry changes to correct the problem on support.microsoft.com but did notdo that yet. May 15th, 2015 8:34am Hi, Before we start troubleshooting, please let me summarize the issue first: One user in your work place cant print from a specific network printerOther programs like Word can print from that specific network printe
