It usually happens if pervasive is connected and the network for some reason drops the connection, and the pervasive connection is still running, but unable to connect. You may want to try to go into the registry and change the autoreconnect to yes to see printer not activated error code 30 amyuni if that helps. it's under hk local machine, pervasive. I can't tell you what key from there as i am on my mac at barnes and noble right now, but i believe it is under settings in either the first or second subkey of pervasive. sorry i don't have more details handy right now.
