Hold up, read the terms (they're in my signature) first. :P Did you donate to get this 1.7? __________________ < Facebook|Youtube|Soundcloud > Natch View Public Profile Send a private message to Natch Visit Natch's homepage! And the Direct3D plugin failed to initialize because your graphics card doesn't support Direct3D 8 or later, or you just don't have DirectX 8 or later installed. Got to find out what your graphics card is. __________________ http://theoatmeal.com/comics/cat_vs_internet HatCat View Public Profile Send a private message to HatCat Find all posts by HatCat #4 16th January 2011, 10:12 PM Natch Project Supporter Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2011 Location: Nowhere near you. It said to make sure the updates for the OS were installed. I installed all the updates that my OS (Windows 7) had available. My computer restarted and now when I start up the Pj64, an Error message comes up saying "Direct 3D failed to initialize. Error Code: 8876086A. D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE". After that, another Error message come up saying "The default or selected http://www.emutalk.net/threads/52304-Direct3D-Failed-to-Initialize video plugin is missing or invalid. Check that you have at least one compatible plugin file in your plugin folder." Then it takes me to the Settings menu. I've removed it and installed it again, but the same thing happened. I'm completely at a loss here. Could somebody please help? It seems, that your direct x is out of date, update it with the web installer to the most recent version. It would be clever, to use an all-in-one updater like this (x86 or x64) to have your system up-to-date The Future of Emulation: Emulate a High End Computer on a Low End System Main: Intel Core i7 (Lynnfiled) 860 (@3.802Ghz) | 8 GB DDR3-1333 | ATI XFX HD 5750 PCI-E | ATI High Definition Audio Device | 256 GB SSD + 3 TB Internal SATA2 + 4 TB external | Windows 7 Professional X64 SP1 MSDNAA Netbook: Asus

Download Project64 1.6 Emutalk Forum Homepage Additionally I've made available a patch to the 1.6 release that includes updated plugins. This is not an official project release! It is includes many of the improvements from Project64 1.7 beta, in addition to others. The reason for releasing this patch is that I will no longer project 64 be working on Project64 and wanted to share these last fixes which improve many n64 games. There will not be any additional releases or source code so please do not ask. En tout cas dans le message d'erreur le HAL signifie que le problème vient de la couche matérielle (donc de ta carte). Vois donc si sur ta carte ta pas d'options pour configurer direct3D.
