Project 64 Graphics Exception Error

I restart every time and I still get this message. I do know my PC is capable of running it, it exceeds all the requirements as far as I know. Any thoughts? Has anyone else seen this error before? kiiyara View Public Profile Send a private message to kiiyara Find all posts by kiiyara #2 17th May 2009, 12:40 AM HatCat Alpha Tester Project Supporter Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: In my hat. Posts: 16,045 When the game is running hit Ctrl+C. Are any of these cheats selected? Certain ones lead to consistent crashes. Of course in general cheats aren't the guarantee for problems...so if this isn't the case notify us. I might have misunderstood the error message when it said "restart", I was closing it and reopening it and by chance earlier I went to system -> reset and so far that seems to help. I still get the message every time I open the emulator. Though now and then it does totally freeze up on me, after maybe like 30 minutes of running it, so now I have new problem lol kiiyara View Public Profile Send a private message to kiiyara Find all posts by kiiyara #4 22nd May 2009, 01:22 AM HatCat Alpha Tester Project Supporter Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: In my hat. Posts: 16,045 Try re-installing the Project64.rdb file from the public updates section. http://www.pj64-emu.com/downloads/project64/updates/ This file goes where the emulator is set. What's the file size of PIF2.DAT? If you hit F5 to create a save state and F7 to load it to use a limited sort of time travel (backup your progress before a crash), is there a point in the game where the crash will happen? Like y
try to Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of time, every five seconds, something pops up that says "While processing graphics data an exception occurred. You may need to restart the emulator." Please help... T_T AgozerOctober 15th, 2006, 01:17Post your computer specs. This error message usually shows on computers that have subpar graphics hardware. If my suspicions are right, switching to Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin should http://forum.pj64-emu.com/showthread.php?t=770 help. CereluneOctober 15th, 2006, 02:29Um... I don't know where to find the plugin, and I don't think I'm allowed to ask you where to find the plugin, so...... hm...... I have a Dell , pentium 4 processer, that has most of the default equipment i think......and that's about all http://www.emutalk.net/archive/index.php/t-38208.html I know about my computer....... I'm not a exactly a wiz am I? T_T AgozerOctober 15th, 2006, 10:43Jabo's Direct3D 6 plugin is bundled with Project64. Use Options --> Settings to switch plugins. Also, you can ask where to find plugins, although in this case, asking doesn't do you any good since Jabo's doesn't allow distributing his plugins outside the emulator. Start --> Run, type dxdiag click OK. This program tells you info about your computer. Check the System and Display tab for the most useful info. Know what kind of hardware you have. People can't help you if they don't know your computer specs. Even worse if you don't know them yourself. CereluneOctober 22nd, 2006, 00:49TY!!!!!!! IT WORKS!!! First of all, various ROMs that I've tested out, such as F-Zero X and Starfox 64 ( among others ) , have SEVERE choppy sound and framerate issues that randomly come and go in spurts while I'm playing said games. No matter how many times I've attempted to remedy this issue in the various graphical/sound settings available, nothing seems to make the slightest difference! Other ROMs, such as Diddy Kong Racing, seem to take it a step further and crash at random points during the emulation, bringing up an error message that says, "While processing graphics data an exception occurred, you may need to restart the emulator". This event appears to happen at random moments too, but it's almost guaranteed to occur eventually during certain periods of play. The current graphics plugin I'm using is 'Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6' and the sound plugin I'm using i
