How To Start Sql Developer In Oracle 11g
a rather weird scenario, not sure if anyone has seen it. I have a sql developer version 3.xx installed and working properly for years until this morning.... when I tried to export a view of 300K+ records to an excel file. I then left sql developer but when I came back in, I can no longer start the application. No error but nothing happened. I went into sqldeveloper folder inside the application and started the application using cmd.com and this is the error (not sure if I am supposed to run it from command prompt though) Microsoft Windows [Version 6.2.9200] (c) 2012 Microsoft Corporation. Re: All connections are lost in SQL Developer 1.5 Emu May 19, 2008 12:55 PM (in response sql developer to SueHarper) The first posts in this thread describe everything working fine the first time the program was loaded. After this the connections were lost and new connections could not be made. This is exactly my provlem. I don't care so much about the lost connections, if I can create new one. I cannot do this. When I try to I get the message: Io exception: The network adapter could not unable to find establish the connection. Since all these installs on sql developer and java I have had other networking problems with the network adapter. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 46. Re: All connections are lost in SQL Developer 1.5 SueHarper May 19, 2008 3:20 PM (in response to Emu) User621682, I am sorry, there have been a number of these connections lost threads and even in this thread people with success and failure. It would make life much easier for me tracking threads if you updated your connection details to a name. This is much easier to track than a number. For each number in a thread I need to track back to see if the query remains yours or is a new number in the thread. sue Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 49. Re: All connections
installed Java 7 and added 2 extra lines to sqldeveloper.bat: cd C:\pierre\sqldeveloper-4\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin sqldeveloper.bat set JAVA_HOME=C:\pierre\Java\jdk1.7.0_45 set PATH=C:\pierre\Java\jdk1.7.0_45\bin java -Xmx640M -Xms128M -Xverify:none -Doracle.ide.util.AddinPolicyUtils.OVERRIDE_FLAG=false -Dsun.java2d. ddoffscreen=false -Dwindows.shell.font.languages= -XX:MaxPermSize=128M -Dide.AssertTracingDisabled=true -Doracle.ide.util.AddinPolicyUtils.OVERRIDE_FLAG=true -Djava.util.logging.config.file=logging.conf -Dsqldev.debug=false -Dide.conf="./sqldeveloper.conf" -Dide.startingcwd="." -classpath ../../ide/lib/ide-boot.jar oracle.ide.boot.Launcher ERROR: You're trying to run the product with the legacy launcher oracle.ide.boot.Launcher . Check your .conf file and be sure to include: AddJavaLibFile ../../ide/lib/fcpboot.jar SetMainClass oracle.ide.osgi.boot.NbLauncher I have added the 2 extra lines AddJavaLibFile ../../ide/lib/fcpboot.jar SetMainClass oracle.ide.osgi.boot.NbLauncher to sqldeveloper.conf, but I still get the same error. Giving up. So sad.
